  1. Fully agree with mynameisdanno. I am sitting when playing and could not play anything well with a setup like what you show in the pictures Scott. I currently use a NS3 Compact on top of an old Yamaha S90es.
  2. Compared to my Viscount Legend Live (TP8O) the video seem to show a lower trigger point before the virtual contacts trigger the first busbar tone. However this is probably closer to the trigger depth of a real Hammond and a necessity for the implementation. Talking about splitting hairs between the clones the action might be the last barrier. Pricing?
  3. Yamaha used SCM (Spectral Component Modeling) in the CP1. To me this seems to be a technology to manipulate the samples to sculpt the characteristics of pianos and epianos. A description of this can be found here: http://sandsoftwaresound.net/spectral-component-modeling/
  4. In lack of talent having many boards mean a lot of demo songs. Helpful when trying to get a gig….
  5. Guys it is 2022! Please remember this is a keyboard forum:
  6. Currently have a NS3 Compact, before that a Stage 2 88. Still have my trusty S90es. The Fatar keybed felt not as smooth as the Yamaha but maybe a little lighter. Both are nice for allround use.
  7. Having a «computer rig» at home I feel no need to bring all that complexity to a live gig. Of course this also depends on what you are performing and trying to achieve. My current solution is an all-in-one board on top of a weighted controller. Advantages is simplicity, keyboards almost as close as a dual manual organ and most important; a single control surface on top. Perfect for easy gigging and logistics. If playing in a famous band or for weeks in theatre considerations would be different.
  8. Yamaha DX7. Ordered without chance to try it before buying, no internet, no reviews. Hoped to get decent Hammond, pianos and epianos out of it. Still hate the sound of it from hits if the eighties. Heavy beast, keybed was nice….
  9. Best and most useful; Nord Stage 3 Compact. Most enjoyable Hammond B3/Leslie 122.
  10. Check page 113 in the manual for settings for the external zones: NOTE-VELOCITY Sets the character of the velocity to send to this zone. The setting range is OF and 1 to 4. At OF, the velocity is fixed at 100. The “touch” (velocity response) of the keyboard pro- gresses from 1 (heavier) through 4 (lighter).
  11. Have the iOS version running on my iPad. Is the Mac version sounding any better?
  12. Sad indeed. Please don’t let A Whiter Shade of Pale be the only song to remember. His work consist of much, much more beautiful songs. Been a huge fan since I saw Procol Harum in Oslo first time almost 50 years ago.
  13. No, this outputs are a single stereo output in two different electrical formats. The XLR outputs are balanced and the 1/4 outputs unbalanced.
  14. In this case can you send midi with velocity from the lower manual and still use the high trigger for upper manual organ?
  15. The Mojo 61 is monotimbral, only one voice at once.
  16. Hammond says the SKX Pro engine is derived from the XK-5 which to me not means «the exact same engine» http://www.hammond.eu/Products/ProductDetails?product=HASKX PRO
  17. The CX-3 is extremely flexible as a midi controller most, if not all, drawbars, buttons and potentiometers have editable midi CC’s. If i remind it correctly the only potentiometer which is not sending CC is the main volume knob. A question for the B3-X knowable: When controlling the B3-X from a 88 key controller how do I stop the activation of the presets in the octave below the normal 61 key range without zoning on the controller? I am using the iOS version.
  18. From hammondorganco.com: «Each Voice Section has an individual Volume Control allowing the different Sections to be “mixed” in real time.» But no chances to morph volumes via a controller pedal like the Nord Stage?
  19. No problems here: https://www.thomannmusic.no/cat_BF_studiologic.html
  20. This is a bit confusing. Are you describing two different scenarios, i) USB via Apple Camera Adapter to USB-B on the SK-Pro or ii) midi via Bluetooth adapter?
