  1. And it can be yours for $3,000,000.00 https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/6630-Heartwood-Dr-Oakland-CA-94611/24816331_zpid/?utm_source=zillowgonewild&utm_medium=zillowgonewild&utm_campaign=zillowgonewild
  2. $7000? So, the target market is mega-churches, Russian oligarchs, Saudi princes and Elon Musk?
  3. At set break, because I was lazy and overtired, I tried to adjust the height of my keyboard stand while my Mojo 61 and its lower manual was still sitting on it, completely wired up, turned on, and plugged into the sound system. I lost control of the side of the stand I was trying to adjust, and the whole rig came crashing down and hit the floor, making a huge, terrifying noise that brought conversation in a crowded room to a complete halt and resulted in all eyes being on me for several hugely embarrassing minutes as I tried to set it back up. Miraculously, apart from a small ding on one of the end blocks, the Mojo survived intact and fully functional. I played the rest of the gig on it, and have played many more on it in the years since. Occasionally, I see people complain about the build quality of the Mojo. I scoff at them.
  4. If I'm looking for a lead sheet with a downloadable PDF, I'll usually do a Google search for "[name of tune] lead sheet PDF." If I know the composer's name, I'll toss that in as well. Most of the time, it works like a charm. Same with transcriptions: "[name of tune] [name of artist] transcription." It's astonishing how much high quality free stuff is out there.
  5. I've never tried one of these, but I'm intrigued. Not exactly a conventional tube --oops, I mean "valve" -- amp, but designed to deliver tube grit and warmth. Relatively cheap, and only weighs nine pounds. Buy two! The reviews look good. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/VX50KB--vox-vx50kb-50-watt-keyboard-amp
  6. I'm not entirely convinced she's a carbon-based life form.
  7. He makes me feel hopelessly inadequate. I hate him.
  8. I'm using a pair of QSC CP 8 speakers for both piano and organ. At 21 pounds apiece, they're much lighter than the Motion Sound, cheaper, much louder than you probably need in most small venues, and will almost certainly sound as good. I had the Motion Sound KP-500s for a while. Worked well for organ and EP, much less well for digital acoustic piano (hated it, actually) and it was, at over 50lbs, really not good for my back. The CP's were a huge improvement.
  9. Anyone using these for keyboards -- particularly DPs, APs, and/or organ? The price, weight, and power look good, and the fact that they seem intended for use by both guitar and bass players may bode well. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/manufacturer/Headrush?mrkgadid=984185258&mrkgcl=28&mrkgen=gdsa&mrkgbflag=0&mrkgcat=generic&acctid=21700000001645388&dskeywordid=39700048800210592&lid=39700048800210592&ds_s_kwgid=58700005371980886&device=c&network=g&matchtype&adpos&locationid=9016721&creative=452849192843&targetid=aud-332619387255%3Adsa-824852044019&campaignid=6730319002&awsearchcpc=1&gclsrc=aw.ds&&rkg_id=0&campaigntype=dsa&campaign=aaDSA&adgroup=984185258%3ADSA+-+Manufacturer&placement=google&gclid=Cj0KCQjwnP-ZBhDiARIsAH3FSRdFDSeW0_QsOX59cePzt6N0-TL3RDFPtWcI2KGbIoKJ0xsPvE0g34oaApqKEALw_wcB
  10. Oleo really takes as beating here. Fortunately, that lunatic Remi Bolduc gives us a ring-side seat so we can try to figure it all out for ourselves at home:
  11. When it comes to Cissy Strut confusion, Sco's got nuthin' on Oz Noy:
  12. As far as I know, prices for this and the other new products Viscount has been teasing haven't been announced. They'll be on display at the NAMM shows next month, by which time prices will probably be available.
  13. Between this and the new Soul organs, Viscount will be getting all my money. https://www.viscountinstruments.com/instrument/vortex-15/
