But you do have:

- mudslides that can force multi-million dollar homes into the Pacific.

All true, all true. But even in December, as your home slides into the ocean, you can get a tan at the same time. ;)

Yeah - but last I checked, there is no earthquake season.

Snow? What's that?

Try the other side of the equator [ie Australia] for christmas.

Two years ago, christmas day, we were on the road for 300km (180miles) for 4hours - in a badly air conditioned bus, 42"C outside (don't know what that is in "F) and changing an inside rear wheel on the very hot bitumen!

SNOW??

Sorry about this (irrelevant) anecdote, but you may find it interesting to find out what life's like on the underside of the world! And I just couldn't resist!

8-10" forecasted for RI - I've got 2 shows in Maine this weekend, and the snow is going to add to my driving time...will the boss let me out in time to make the gig? I'll be sweating and skwirming all day... :freak:

Man I've got to find a job in the music industry - or at least someone who is "musician friendly"!

...that's why you're suposed to call out sick...or with a "dead" battery ;)

Do you live on the East side of Providence? The roads here are a friggen nightmare - they don't even bother with plowing side streets. Good luck getting to your gigs - the market was plenty of travelling for me (passed three accidents on the way  )

Snow?, SNOW?,S.N.O.W.? (anything to do with V.A.S.T.?). Ok, what is it? A plug-in, some ancronym for some form of modeling technolgy, a secret society? Well, whatever it is we don't have it here. Unless it is a secret society...

In Kentucky it seems that half of the state is flooded and the other half is coated with ice. Huge number of people without power in the ice areas. Even the TV stations were out this morning. Once they came on they spent the day covering the storm.

We got a whole bunch of sleet/freezing rain here in Richmond. They originally forecasted 8-12" of snow and I think we got a couple of inches of ice. It makes for KILLER sledding!!!

Looks like at least a 3 day weekend. Unfortunately, Monday was already a holiday for me...maybe it will stretch into Tuesday.

Regards,

Eric

I'm actually in Boston right now, where freezing winds from the North have been keeping the snow out, but it looks as if that's gonna end in a few hours...

...and I'm due to fly out to Miami tomorrow morning  ...something tells me that ain't gonna happen....
