Pat Azzarello
Uh.... Gwyneth Paltrow... oops, wrong favorite. No, really. I can't do it. Too many great pieces out there to pick from. Narrow it down to a style, period, remake, or artist and I could probably give you one. Pat http://www.patazzarello.com

Everybody ELSE has to pick ONE!!! I can't pick one, either. I can't even pick one per IDIOM. But for the sake of argument, I'll take... All Along The Watchtower, Jimi Hendrix Version But I can't REALLY pick just one. The Black Knight always triumphs!

Jojje
I´t´s impossible to pick one..but ok...if I was going to be executed and I was allowed to listen to one last song in front of the firing squad it would have to be Memphis Soul Stew with King Curtis. I just love that guy. Not much keyboard in that one though..just a pinch of organ...

jdonnici
You'll see a common "theme"... Classical - Concerto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo Non-Classical - Spain by Chick Corea I tried to choose something in the Rock/Pop world, but came up with too many and can't narrow it down to anything less than five. Edit: Doh... learn to spell.

B3Nut
quote: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Originally posted by tenthplanet: Only one huh, OK. Awaken-Yes. (Studio Version) Michael ------------------------------------------------------------------------ What a great, great song !O yeah. An amazing composition, one of the best pieces of music that band ever put out. Lyrics are a bit cuckoo (well....that's Yes LOL) but the music is gorgeous. I mean....pipe organ!...trips around the circle of 4ths....really ambitious writing. I like Tarkus a lot too, that's a classic. But I just can't think of a single favorite piece...I love so much music, and there's so much good music out there. One piece that moves me a lot is "Lunar Sea" by Camel...and I've been digging "Dancing With The Mooonlit Knight" and "Firth of Fifth" by Genesis lately. Musicians' music. TP --- Todd A. EZB
"The Song Of Loving-Kindness", by Gary Bartz. A short instrumental jazz piece off his Blues Chronicles album. The piece follows a very angry rap, making its beauty even more striking. This is not something I can listen to very often; it's overwhelming. jimbyjoe
my favourite song/piece of music changes as much as my moods favourite song: forever (remix) by the brand new heavies favourite classical: vallee d'obermann - liszt pray, k "Consider how much coffee you're drinking - it's probably not enough." B3Nut
A classical piece that often profoundly affects me is Franck's Chorale #3 in A minor, an organ piece. I have a reading of it performed by French organist Marie Claire-Alain...it's a stunning piece. The Three Chorales were the last pieces of music he wrote in the last couple months of his life, and the 3rd chorale has a palpable sense of his knowing he was near the end of his life. Staggering music. TP --- Todd A. SolipsismX
there are so many, but here's a list: classical: Firebird suite (one of the onyl classical songs that makes me want to break things) and barber's adagio for strings (how this song makes me want to weep) Rock: Well this one is hard, but whatever song it is, it goes to NIN. Here are some that I can't decide on Eraser, Something i can never have, The way out is through, Ruiner, Hurt and The Fragile.
