There's only ONE Star Trek - TOS

Fave TOS episodes...(don't know the names)...

The one early episode where they beam down to help Professor Crater and find out that his wife is really a squid handed salt sucking monster.

Trouble with tribbles (natch).

The one where Kirk is beamed down to that planet to battle the lizard dude and he makes a cannon out of stuff that's lying around (silly, but entertaining).

Actually, my favorite sci-fi isn't American, or British...it's Japanese!AHHH! GODZILLA!!!

Ahhhh....well then 'tis you who are mistaken, mah brutha. You're talking about two different episodes.

In your first description, you said: "Tough one: The pilot with Jeffery Hunter as the captain." That's The Cage. It was never shown, but later was edited and spliced into newer footage to become the two-part episode called The Menagerie, as Phil pointed out.

However, the one that you've described here is Where No Man Has Gone Before. It was shot as the second pilot (The Cage was the first pilot), and ended up running as the third episode of the first season. Shatner was the captain on that episode, even though other crewmen (including the doctor) were different.

Amen, brother!

And you're right, I was mistaken about Jeffrey Hunter in The Cage. I got him confused with Gary Lockwood (Lockhart?) who played the speedreading villain.

C'mon! You KNOW you'd look good in a mini-skirt, false eyelashes, and one of those heavily teased 60's hairdos. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/wink.gif

Troi always reminded me of an overgrown plum lost on the way to the fruit stand.

That episode was written by ex-Alesis, ex-Roland, ex-MXR employee, and your good friend, Ron Wilkerson. Inspired by years of moving a Hammond around, he designed the ultimate portable keyboard. He figured out what the most portable design for a keyboard would be and wrote it into a Star Trek episode. Cool, huh? (And on topic!)

Ex-TASCAM consultant, too...he did some work for me on a video we did at last years' AES show. And hey, guess what? Ron is now the script editor for "Stargate: SG-1" or whatever the hell that show is called. He's living in Vancouver, where they film.
