konaboy
Seems like an easy to use, versatile and fun softsynth! Looking forward to trying out. The original sounded great, but the poly was a turn off, just 4 notes iirc. Hopefully fixed now...? https://www.korg.com/uk/products/software/korg_collection/ 1 1 Quote hang out with me at woody piano shack
ElmerJFudd
I’m glad they continue to return to this collection and develop something because it would be pretty lame if we were just updating so the existing models continue to work on our current OS. Paul Woodward
99 dollars to upgrade from Collection 3 to get the three new ‘synths’. Wouldn’t mind playing with this but it adds Kaoss pad and Electribe. Neither of which I want. Mark Schmieder
I'm pretty insanely busy at work, so haven't looked at my personal email folder in several days, but did see the headline of one message and was wondering what the new synths would be. I'm going to guess the microKorg is for all practical purposes also somewhat of an emulation of the MS2000? ElmerJFudd
Looks like microKORG, ELECTRIBE-R and the KAOSS Pad. Quote Yamaha CP88, Casio PX-
bill5
FYI/FWIW there are numerous good (IMO) free Korg emulations here: https://www.fullbucket.de/music/vst.html
CEB
I’m just surprised this was such a large seller. 1 Quote "It doesn't have to be difficult to be cool" - Mitch Towne "A great musician can bring tears to your eyes!!! Justin Havu
A portable and affordable way for a beginner to get into synthesizers. Also, a compact way to add VA to the palette, but with only 4 voices. I always used it as a monosynth. konaboy
that was always the drawback for me, 4 poly and not multitimbral. no longer an issue in software. Quote hang out with me at woody piano shack
ElmerJFudd
If you contemplated a Kronos but prefer a laptop rig with Korg’s synth engines. Roland finally figured this out with their Cloud as well. Yamaha has yet to imagine how their IP might sell without hardware.
