Mike Davis
Check out this extraordinary arrangement of 'And You and I." Played on solo stick by one Robert Culbertson.
StickMan393
Yes AND a Chapman Stick? How do I upvote?
David Emm
Migod, that's uplifting. Beautifully played, Robert. I had a friend who bought a Stick just as I was discovering Tony Levin. It was fascinating to hear him explore it with his eyes wide, like I did with new synths. I'm a keyboard man, but I sometimes dream of playing a Stick. *SIGH* Humbling. The two-handed slap stuff you can get going is on another plane. Only the Osmose MIGHT come close, eventually and of course, its a different prospect. Mmmm, high tech..... timwat
Bob Culbertson and Greg Howard are both stellar Stick players. Quote ..
AnotherScott
I never realized before that the Stick can sound very much like a Clavinet. Quote Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)
GRollins
Chapman Sticks and harp guitars hit the same spot in me--someone who's good with one can sound like an entire orchestra. And, yeah, that guy's good enough to make me seriously envious. Thanks for the post. I must have been needing a Yes fix. That came out of left field and was just wonderful.
