16251
Very glad YouTube algorithm sent me this. I assumed it was new, only to find out it came out in 1997. Turns out to be produced by Bradford Marsalis and to my delight, Joey Calderazzo plays a killer solo. Amazing how well jazz improv works so well (at least IMHO.) BONUS: Joey's solo transcribed. Al Quinn
Cool setting to hear Joey in and he kills it! He"s one of my favorites and the last of the greats that I saw before we could no longer go to concerts in NY. I saw him on 2/27/20 with Branford"s Quartet. Joey was on fire! Such an amazing jazz pianist. Quote https://alquinn.com
yannis D
This is an epic solo, especially in the hip hop context. It makes the hole thing work. I still regret my ignorance as i wasn't aware of Branford's concert when they came back in the day in my town to present this project.
