Nor I. Plus anything made for musicians should be captioned. Period.

My first choice sequencer is still Master Tracks Pro - and I still have an XP computer to run it on. Why? Powerful, and without any audio functions, it's quick. One click in a menu brings up what I need. No menu to sub-menu to sub-sub-menu.

Then if I need to add audio I'll export, import to Cakewalk or Power Tracks Pro Audio (depending on my complexity needs) and finish the work there.

It works for me. But then, there is more than one right way to make music.

I would like to mention that when I did my first FASTFINGERS demo 9 years ago. I was criticized for talking TOO LOUD !

Weird.

I had to do a a bunch of audio juggling to put this together. There was a 10-20 millisecond delay for the sound coming from the Philips TV , but Cubase was recording the patched sound faithfully in time. This causes a slight echo which I had to painfully edit out everywhere when I wasn't talking .(no ducking in cubase) I didn't want sequencer sounds from the TV speaker. Then I mixed it all together in Cool Edit 2000 and made it MONO. I guess that I partly read lips, and that makes it easier for me to "hear" when the sequencer plays.

Anyway , thank you all for looking and all the suggestions and I wasn't going to put this up here because there was no response for my "blind" demo.

You may have also noticed that in spite of the SID 48 db s/n , some of the sounds are remarkably quite. That usually happens when I pass through only the LOW Pass filter and turn off high pass and band pass. Very usable sounds indeed.

Voice comprehension might be due to the speakers attached to my laptop. I have semi-slow Internet speeds so audio and video aren't always in sync I assume they are recognizing my speed and compressing. I don't know that for sure - if anyone knows, please enlighten me. I rarely watch a YouTube without some buffering.

And don't forget whether you talk too loud, too soft, or just perfect, it's not going to work for some people and their particular computer setup.

And with compression or lower bandwidth the filtering effects I'm describing may also be inaudible .

It's my price for living in almost paradise.

I live on a 15 mile stretch of road with a lagoon to the east and a protected wetlands to the west. Although my lot is only a half acre, most of the other houses are huge with +50 acre lots. The end result is the phone and CATV plant doesn't pass many homes per mile, and that screws up their cost/benefit ratio around here. So we are the last to get upgraded to anything.

But to the east of the lagoon is a barrier island and the Atlantic ocean. We get ocean breezes through our little house all day, a lot of wildlife visits our shared land, the windows are open, I planed a lot of shade trees 30 years ago and they are tall, and it never gets cold enough to put frost on the ground even in the dead of winter.

So I have a slow Internet connection. Things could be worse.
