lsj
would appreciate some advice here. I am looking to purchase a funky guitar vst(plug-in) for my fl studio 20.5 DAW. looking for funky guitar strums with wah-wah type pedal effects. similar to what you would hear on Tower Of Power songs or Earth Wind and Fire songs. I am controlling fl studio with my keyboard and would like easy looping and strumming feature, like one key triggering. thanx in advance...â¦â¦.Larry
BbAltered
I recommend UJAM Iron. This is the successor to Steinberg's Virtual Guitarist (that they discontinued a number of years ago). This is a vst instrument for electric guitar accompanying parts - you can't really use it for solo work. It is a loop-based instrument, not sample-based. What you get is a couple thousand loops of e-guitar strumming and chordal work. You pick out a guitar sound, choose a musical style, and then play chords on your keyboard. The instrument plays guitar parts following the chords you play. Within each musical style, there are many variations to choose from. The Steinberg VG version allowed you to open up the loop, and pick and choose within it to create new variations. I used the Steinberg VG version until they discontinued it. I found I could cover quite a bit of guitar ground with it - including pop, funk, blues, disco, etc. styles. I was disappointed when they discontinued it. Go check out the UJAM website to learn more. BbAltered
Oops - - I just went to the UJAM website. The Iron product is for distorted guitars. You might prefer the Sparkle version for clean funkin' guitar. Quote J.S. Dockeys
I don't know about Ableton as I work on Logic but Kontakt Player is free: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/samplers/kontakt-6-player/ It's at version 6 now and you need minimum ver 5 to run Funk Guitarist. lsj
just what I am looking for, unfortunately I'm pretty sure it won't work for me on fl studio 20.5 since I do not own any NI Kontakt plug-ins.
