He was a trooper and a lifer. Anyone could aspire to be as much. I really enjoyed playing pretty much my own version of "Two Tickets to Paradise" with one covers band that was in for a while, while following the basic arrangement and keeping some of the signature guitar parts; there was fertile ground to work there, a well crafted song all-around. He went out still doing what he wanted to be doing and certainly left his mark.
