Your Post may have timed-out, dropping the Delete Post option. I do not know how long that takes,. I used to get a LOT of miles out of my Foxrox Octron (100% all-analog Octave-Up and Octave-Down Fuzzes, plus a Direct/'clean-blend'), Overdrive or Distortion, and my Boss RT-20 Leslie-sim for very satisfying faux-organ sounds. I bet I'd really enjoy that S9! I like many of the HX "0" series pedals, they're a lot of fun!

Guitar Sound on Cliff Richard's "Devil Woman"
Caevan O’Shite replied to DaveLab's topic in Guitar Forum
OK, I hear what you're referring to, an almost tremolo-like pulsing, rhythmically on and off; I suspect that it was done via the pickup selector-switch on the guitar. For example, on my Les Paul, I can get a similar effect by turning the volume-knob for one pickup all the way down, playing on the other pickup, and flicking the switch for the pulses. A loose and springy feeling vintage-style Switchcraft pickup-selector really lends itself to ease of execution of such effects; whereas the more modern Epiphone switch that has temporarily replaced the original Switchcraft (that wore out and broke) in my Les Paul is technically a better quality upgrade, doesn't go 'boing' when flicked and has to be more carefully put in one or the other position- but the effect can still be done with it. One of those currently popular "Kill Switch" buttons would probably also work VERY well for this, particularly if it's a spring-loaded off/on type (press and hold for 'off', release for 'on'). Overdrive and sustain from an overdriven amp that was loud and close enough to add a subtle bit of feedback and overtones also aided this, but it could also be done with a very clean tone with enough compression ('natural' or from a pedal or such). In that recording, it's further enhanced by panning back and forth via the mixing console. -
"Meandering Around In G Minor"; niiiiiiice... Sounds a little like Santana, Gary Moore and Wish You Were Here-era David Gilmour blended together...

Please give me all info and detes on those 6V6's, thanks! I have two amp-heads that use duets of 6V5's, an Egnater Rebel 30 MkII (which simultaneously uses a duet of EL84's) and a 65 Amps Empire (which deploys a highly tricked-out circuit that makes 'em perform with the character of EL34's in '60s and '70s vintage Marshall amps).
-
Don't lose 'em! You might need them for this or another device in the future- and speaking from experience, it's GREAT to have 'em when you need 'em!! I have a few on several tubes in an old Carvin Vintage 33 amp that I've had a love/hate relationship with, and have gotten MANY additional years of hard use out of it with the tubes in it (the ones that I liked the sound of, but began to get microphonic) because of the Hal-O Tube Dampers I had. 💫💖✨ "The instructions say to set the BIAS at more than 40 MV"? Try setting them at, say, 42mv and see if you like the way the amp sounds and feels that way; if you liked it better before that, set it back to 52mv. best of luck and enjoy!

Well... You could get a second DS-1 or DS-1w to havetwo of those, and switch between or stack them... That would probably be the simplest way to accomplish most of what you want there. (EDIT: I see that Larryz beat me to the post with that suggestion! D'oh! ) I think that stacking your 2B into your DS-1w and switching them both on would get you some of that Custom Mode and/or imagined combination of Classic and Custom Modes. Kinda-sorta. I'm sure you'd also really like the Keeley Retro Super Germanium Phat Mod; it blends and blurs elements of Overdrive, Distortion, and Fuzz, with a huge big, fat Phat Mode boost to lows, low-mids and mids. Aggressive without sounding "Metal", it still lets the character of your guitar and picking-hand "touch" shine through. I love mine! I bet you'd enjoy alternating the RSGPM with your DS-1w.

It takes no research to see that there was no "rage" there, or that your posts that I cited from this thread- picking on someone for using the word ":sessions" and nattering on about it- are asinine. Don't be a jerk.
-
"Saved up rage"... ? Yeah, such "rage" being "released" there... Ampy, your bullying, badgering BS sessions are not impressing ANYONE here. Don't be that guy.

You are going to be ECSTATIC... !!

Ohmhigawd! That's GREAT!! You're all going to LOVE them in concert. Elizabeth and I really enjoyed seeing them this past Summer (July 2023) at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center here in Upstate New York. I caught the Derek Trucks Band yyyeeeaarrrs ago, a very special memory. Who's opening? Ziggy Marley was the opening act for TTB at SPAC...

Cool. A lotta great stuff goin' on there...

So... just what model is it?

Whoa... !! Detes, man, detes!

Which isn't worth a dime compared to a number of vastly superior pedals that will do the same effect but considerably better, and more! You couldn't give me an SG-2 for free, I wouldn't want the overrated turd and I'd feel guilty if I sold it or even gave it to anyone! Yeah, ya got me there. Don't confuse me with the facts.
-
And your set-up time. I don't think that's "complete"- I suspect that there are plenty of Boss pedals that aren't there. I don't think that there's a Boss RT-20 among hem (I've gotten LOTS and LOTS of great use out of mine over the years!), someone correct me if I'm wrong...
