Daddyg3042
I rarely post, but thought this might be an interesting contribution. Was given the CD to listen to by a band member and really didn't know what to think as I've only ever known him as a drummer. Nope...dude rips it up on keys. Some people just have an overabundance of talent. He's accompanied by Eddie Gomez and Freddie Waits. All I can say is wow... "May you stay...forever young." Dave Ferris
Yeah that's an older one with the Trio. Pretty incredible. He did a solo record a few years ago: [video:youtube] Arguably, the most influential drummer of the last 40 years. https://soundcloud.com/dave-ferris https://www.youtube.com/@daveferris2709
Mark Zeger
Antonio Sanchez is a conservatory trained classical pianist. How about Jack & Antonio cut a duo album taking turns playing piano and drums?
16251
Arm a drummer, a virtuoso drummer with piano skills and all that knowledge of jazz rhythm and time displacement. I have this Facebook friend who recently graduated Berklee and is in his early 20's. He subbed on this trio gig I did on drums so we connected on FB. When he gigged with me I didn't know about his other talents. I see he now plays gigs at jazz clubs, not background music gigs, on guitar, acoustic bass, piano and drums and is equally talented on all instruments.
