Dave Bryce
Dave, sweet setup. There's too much there to actually get anything done, I'd be tinkering with sounds all the time! The difference maker for me is the Kronos. I absolutely love the Karma function. I can start that up and play along with it for hours, switching between scenes. It makes me want to set up the couple boards I have that are sitting in cases that I haven't touched in months. Doooo iiiiitttttttt.... dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <== Professional Affiliations: Royer Labs • Music Player Network

Dave Bryce
WavePackets and Analogaddict - definitely both seriously grin-inducing rigs, to be sure! vonnor
This page is pretty much un-viewable now. I really love the pix and have been doing a right-click and "View Image" to scale them to my screen rez, but when I post on a forum that does not auto scale images I try to get them down to like 1200px wide (1600 tops) before I save them on a hosting site. ~ vonnor Gear: Hardware: Nord Stage4, Korg Kronos 2, Novation Summit Software: Cantabile 3, Halion Sonic 3 and assorted VST plug-ins. Doerfler
Mark has a sweet setup. that, brother Dan, is an understatement. Finally got there myself 3 weeks ago. I'll post pics later, right now I'm in disarray. Just separated my XK3 system to sell the lower manual to Steve in Maine. My String Ensemble and HK3 module are at Markyboard's crib. I got cables hanging loose everywhere. Gonna take care of some of that late tonight when I get home.

Dnsmo
Dave, So how DO all these 'boards make sounds? Not a speaker in sight! Dave Bryce
Dave, So how DO all these 'boards make sounds? Not a speaker in sight! There's more audio in that room than you want to know about. There's a 16 x 4 Allen & Heath Mix Wizard under the Ion... http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y172/davebryce/IMG_5195_zpsvx7dwvbn.jpg ...which is fed by the other two mixers in the room (Mackie LM3204 under the Kurz and a Speck X-Sum line mixer for my Motif/modules rig on the other side of the room). All three mixers send main and aux stereo feeds to the primary recording rig at the front of the room, which is a TASCAM DM3200 driving a pair of Amphion Two15s powered by a 500w per side Amphion amp... http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y172/davebryce/IMG_5193_zpshvkebbft.jpg ...but wait - there's more... The Mix Wizard is also fed by control room sends from the Mackie and Speck. I then buss those to a subgroup of the Mix Wizard, which feeds a Yamaha power amp driving a pair of two way wedges. One is right under the MiniMoog (you can sort of see it on the floor), the other is under the Motif and aforementioned module array on the oposite wall. The keyboards and modules in the Ominrax stand (PEKs, PX5S, Quadrasynth) feed the Mix Wizard directly. So does the Kronos, actually - I like to be able to isolate that from the main rig. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y172/davebryce/IMG_5191_zpsbpdyuxqd.jpg Soooo, I have a stereo PA in the back of the room and a set of stereo monitors in the front of the room. The PA is wired backwards though, so when I pan a keyboard left in the front of the room it goes to the same side of the room at the rear if you're facing forward. Make sense? To say I can get a bit of a monstrous sound in there is an understatement. Your head wants to be facing the Andromeda/Mojo, which is looking at the Amphions. The Real MC
I don't need more gear. What I want is to get them out of the basement where I can enjoy the sunlight. Not possible with the rental house I currently live in, but definitely a must for the next house I buy.
