Try another browser. It's a YouTube video.

Here's a picture:

I've been getting this black bar where embedded YouTube videos are supposed to be for about a week now (I think). I'd assumed it might be something related to the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, since I think it started at about the same time I applied that update-- except it's also happening with people who don't even have Windows 10! And embedded YouTube videos work fine on other pages. It's weird! And yes, Firefox works but not Edge, IE, or Chrome. I haven't tried it on Safari yet.

Formats correctly for me in FireFox. In Chrome it is in letterbox format with black bars top and bottom with YouTube branding in the lower black bar, presents as a 16:9 vid shown on a 4:3 screen. Seems like Google are cross promoting.

In Edge pre AE update, it appears as a vertical black bar, MS will be along shortly to fix this up.

It is a browser issue, nothing to do with this forum.

I just clicked on the vid in the OP. Works fine for me, Win 10 and FF.

It sounds exactly like those 50's era scifi movies. I'm sure it's capable of much more than that though. Very creative.
