Just caught a promo for a four part series starting at 10pm UK time on Monday on Radio 2 that some of you guys maybe interested in. I presume people outside of the UK can listen on the website.

From the website.

'A four part series in which orchestra conductor Charles Hazlewood explores the progressive rock music of the 1970s. In part one he'll be focusing on drums and percussion, but first he chronicles a little of the background to prog rock, tracing its origins in popular music of the 1950s and 1960s. In line with the emphasis on percussion, he talks to one of rock's most accomplished drummer/percussionists, Bill Bruford. Bill, who's played with some of the great rock bands including Yes, King Crimson, UK, Genesis and his own bands Bruford and Earthworks, discusses some of the technical details of his craft with Charles and together they draw parallels between classical and rock music, noting some of the ways that 1970s prog took in some of the influences from classical music. Tracks will be drawn from Yes, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Bruford, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Jethro Tull, the Toys, B Bumble and the Stingers and Perry Como!'
