RichieP_MechE
These are nothing near as spectacular as what you all share here, but this is "Around Irwin Acres" (the shoot, do not look at until you off-load challenge). They all came out fine except one . . . I needed to crop out my own shadow which I did not notice at the time but it was just at the edge. Around Irwin Acres Please note that I sometimes take pictures of odd things, but these are things that just capture my attention and seem to need their story preserved. Lindaru
Thanks, Richie. I do love the serenity and rustic feel of where we live, and I hope to be able to share that ambience with others, so glad you liked them!

Brettymike
Folks , this object turned up like a miracle from the Heavens , and people agree it's very calming and therapuetic when held and studied - I kid you not! Lindaru
Brett . . . I love it! The simplicity! The divine symmetry begging to be attached to something and allowed to spin freely in the breeze! Have you named it?
Brettymike
;-) , It's called the "Cineraria"... Created by the Gods and passed down to us. I drew it up , and my friends with the $Mega dollar machine, laser cut it beautifully out of 1.2mm aluminium while we slept. xKnuckles
Thank you very much Linda & Brett. I certainly got lucky with the sun's rays that day.. I have, unfortunately, got into a muddle on Flickr. I have unknowingly posted a rather poor quality version of my Sundog photo (and several others ). I am going to remove them in a minute and replace them with ones which are better technically. Apologies for messing up the chronology of this thread, but I can't see any way of editing the original post...... Lindaru
That is strange, Anne . . . well, it is good enough to see again and it does not muddle the chronology of the thread.

Lindaru
As near as I can tell, Anne . . . sometimes even if you delete something, it stays on their server cache until they do a dump on it. I actually have that problem in that I deleted a large number of big files from my Go Daddy web site and they are showing as "archived" even though I deleted them. Hopefully I can find a way to get those off as it counts against my available web space. :idk

Joe Muscara
We were at an outdoor concert Thursday night and I grabbed some shots with the best camera I had (my iPhone that was in my pocket). I realized recently my iPhone 6 has the same megapixel count as my Canon DSLR. I know pixels aren't everything, but still, it does very well. xKnuckles
Great pics Joe. I especially like the one of the buildings - I find such shots quite tricky with my iPhone. Your Canon has only 8 megapixels! That is a huge surprise to me! How old is it? What do you think about the new iPhone 6s which will have 12 megapixels..... Surely that wouldn't be capable of giving better quality images than an 8 mp canon......or would it? Quote "Turn your fingers into a dust rag and keep them keys clean!"
