mate stubb
Well there you go. One could emulate the 9 key contacts of a hammond with this technology. Moe ---
allan_evett
Yep.... First of many uses. I like where this is leading. Theo Verelst
It seems to respond rather slow and not exactly musical, so I take it the "invention" has not been done properly yet!

WesG
That's pretty damn awesome, Moe. I've seen this tech before used to MIDI-ize Hammonds; it never crossed my mind that we could use it to simulate real manuals!! Hammond: L111, M100, M3, BC, CV, Franken CV, A100, D152, C3, B3 Leslie: 710, 760, 51C, 147, 145, 122, 22H, 31H Yamaha: CP4, DGX-620, DX7II-FD-E!, PF85, DX9 Roland: VR-09, RD-
GovernorSilver
It seems to respond rather slow and not exactly musical, so I take it the "invention" has not been done properly yet! That is why they started the Indiegogo page - to get funding to complete the project. It's just like Kickstarter. So for about $350 or whatever, you have a chance to get a poly aftertouch keyboard w/ 49 keys. Of course there is also the risk that the funding project fails and you get nothing for your money. GovernorSilver
For those of you who missed it, or haven't read through the Indiegogo project page, this is the same company that brought you the Evo Touch: http://www.endeavour.de/ According to CDM, they decided to develop this Note keyboard after receiving feedback that the Evo Touch was "too experimental" for most keyboard players: http://createdigitalmusic.com/2013/07/expressive-ndvr-keyboard-new-hardware-polyphonic-aftertouch-done-right/
RobertLauriston
"... there is also the risk that the funding project fails and you get nothing for your money." If the *funding* project fails, i.e. if the don't raise $65,000 by September 6, the money is refunded. We could still lose our money if they raise the money but screw up. However, given the other options for polyphonic aftertouch ($3895 for a VAX77, $2000? for an M4000D, blank check for a vintage model such as a T-8), I'm willing to risk $385. RobertLauriston
I got a refund from Indiegogo. They're going to try again with Kickstarter after getting some volunteers to make videos of demo units. http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ndvr-note-masterkeyboard--114?c=activity

OB Dave
Although the product listing doesn't mention it, the QRS PNOScan (developed by MIDI9) has polyphonic aftertouch. It can be installed in a Rhodes or Vintage Vibe. http://www.midi9.com/products.htm
