steadyb
I know for a fact that Magpel and Klopmeyer have paid large bribes to dB in order to keep me out of this pool. They have always been jealous of my prognostication skills, even going so far as to sabotage my internet connection, so that it would seem my picks are going in late. While I have no proof per se, I think it's pretty obvious, given my successfully predicting 5 Laker NBA titles in the past decade alone. If they think they can buy their victory this time around, they are sadly mistaken. I'm confident that in the end, dB will do the right thing. Magpel
Tell you what: from where I sit now, BackandWhite is in the driver's seat, as he's made it this far with Oakland and Chicago behind him. I think that gives him the strongest resume. Granted, it is widely acknowledged that Survival Pool success is more about riding losers than picking winners. ...Buffalo looks primed to "go all the way." Mark Zeger
...Buffalo looks primed to "go all the way." No kidding. Last week, they cut Trent Edwards who returns to Buffalo the Sunday in a Jags uniform as a backup. Today, they sent former #1 pick Marshawn Lynch to Seattle for a 2011 4th round. CJ Spiller hasn't exactly set the backfield on fire. The Bills are becoming the Pittsburgh Pirates of the NFL. I considered riding Buffalo for weeks but chickened out. Dave Bryce
I'll see your 4 Super Bowl losses and raise you a "Music City Miracle". I think that gives him the strongest resume. Yes, the rest of the season is just a formality; if you other 3 will kindly concede... I'm waiting a bit to make this week's choice. You never know what may occur before the trade deadline. Some team may decide, for example, to gift its star wide receiver to another team. That was an amazing play, and a hell of a way to end a game and Buffalo's season. I still remember seeing that happen in real time. As do I. And like damn near everyone else in the world, I thought for sure it was a forward pass, until I saw the super slo-mo reply. That ball was perfectly parallel across the field. I'll never forget that. steadyb
I am officially resigning from this year's NFL survival pool. If Magpel and Klopmeyer are stepping down at BlackandWhite's request, then I too will do the same. Congratulations to BlackandWhite on a well played victory*. I'm glad to see that M & K were unable to influence the final outcome with their money and using their "on time" selections to convince dB to let them stay in the pool. It may have worked for a while...
