Ted, you old coot! Eyes on the pic until you're standing up again! :P

(Ya gotta watch out for guy guitarists who want to help you with fallen picks. ;) But watch even more closely for guy guitarists who'd rather watch you bend over and pick it up yourself. :evil: )

Can't wait to see what you really look like when you post the updated pic. :thu:

This is me a couple of hours ago, having just opened a package from Scotland and found a drumhead from The Eagles' recent tour, autographed by Joe Walsh and with one of his picks attached. My Scottish friends' son had been working as a guitar tech for Joe, and he and his mom got backstage during a show in Scotland, got a pic or two and got this drumhead signed for me.

:D

I was told it makes me look older...but people sometimes tell me that in person too. :confused:

Well I get confused myself,Aero. I have people tell me in person I look waaaay younger than I am,then there are others who think "I look my age".(92) I'd guess you to be in your 20's somewhere. By the way.....that is one cool looking set up you have.....dig the amp!

Neil,no I haven't. I'm not one to walk into music stores a whole lot,I usually get my strings off ebay or from other mail order sources. (I just found a cool webstore with great prices....my new supplier of strings & things!) The Daisy ad in the Aug GP caught my eye....I just wish they'd make a 7. One of these days I'm going to get a coffin shaped gigbag for my guitar. I think those look ever so cool..........

Wow, Batgirl, you're a petite young lass...that guitar is almost as big as you are! :D

You go, girl!!! :thu::thu:

Awhile ago, my daughter and her friend were into the band "Sum 41". The guitar player must have been a little guy. He played Les Pauls, and they looked huge on him. During that time, I bought a Les Paul...strapped it on, and Lindsay's friend remarked, "Wow, you bought a mini Les Paul"...I said "MINI? Mini nothing, this is a full size Les Paul"...and then they realized that it was the guy in the pic of "Sum 41" who was the little guy. ;)

First off, nice to see what you look like. Second, is it distorted point of view or is your guitar almost as long as you are tall?? ;):wave:

Lastly, I'm not a goth or metal kinda guy, but when a Music/Software/Video retailer called Media Play went out of business in this area, late last year, I found a few great bargains including a coffin gig bag for less than $20.

That reminds me of the time my old playing buddy Bill, came off stage with his LP still still straped on and a little girl who (he later married) Carol came running to him and was going to put his guitar back in the case for him, he took off the LP and handed it to her by the neck and she grabbed it and it was so heavy she dropped it on to her foot! the strap button hit her so hard it broke the second toe above the joint, she ended up in emergency that night!!

A petite young lass,eh? Tedster,I like that! Neil....The Dean is the biggest of the electric 7's I have! Truthfully the Ibanez is what would be my stage guitar as it's somewhat smaller,definately lighter,and thinner bodied. Just wish the pic didn't have that "fog" in there.

Ellwood-I had a fellow guitar student many years ago hand me an all metal resonator guitar like it was a feather,and while I didn't drop it on my foot I was amazed at the weight of the thing! Thanks for the kind words all....... :wave:
