  1. Can’t say I’m impressed with the sound behind the introduction video that debuted today. I think if I had just showed up to check the online demos out I’d probably have shrugged and passed. Fortunately there is a Demo version available. I strongly suggest you give it a try on your own. It sounds so much better than the Intro Vid.
  2. I only vaguely remember listening to Blue 3 when it came out, and moving on, but I’m guessing that much like they did with Mike Martin’s Wurly, Cherry’s wizards have made vast improvements. we may quibble over “key click” this or “scanner” that, but in the basic “sounds like real tonewheels and tubes” scale, I think they’ve got something here.
  3. As I’ve told many times here, Stevie sat in with my band in the 70s, at The Michigan Inn, & what he played by himself on my D6, left absolutely no one thinking parts were missing!
  4. Since I mostly read political & policy books, I can’t say here 😉

  7. I agree. The Golden Age is over, but there are still records that can’t be made entirely in Home Studios. As much as I’ve been pleased with the evolution of sampled & modeled pianos, it’s not the same as sitting at a 9 footer with $30,000 mikes and $50,000 worth of outboard through a giant Neve or SSL. Same for real drums and world class drummers. I also agree with Lee Sklar who finds it ironic that he started as a kid, playing bass in his bedroom, and now, 60 years later, he’s finishing his career playing mostly in bedrooms. 🙄
  8. I rarely use a sim other than the ones built into my software plugs, but when I did, I was among the minority that preferred the GSI Burn.
  9. That’s why I let my 126 go.
  10. Have I missed a thread on this already? https://cherryaudio.com/products/wurlybird140b?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3F39escjOssBLDgnM41zygMSOq34-YdiEcFCgeIwjWbvViHqGZvWZ4PQk_aem_QILO3b6T5XYHV9q10OGw5A
