  1. I'm trying to find someone with the Korg Nano Kontrol mk1. (First version...) I have a setup file that was created on the Nano Kontrol 2 and I need to know if it works on the mk1 version. I wanted to email it to you and you see if your software will allow you to send the setup file to your machine. Disclosure: This file will allow the user to be able to manipulate the on screen faders on the Korg Nautilus using the Nano Kontrol. Thanks!
  2. I was the keyboard tech for PRINCE for the last 3.5 years or so before he passed away. I have files for all the sounds they used. On these tours they were using Yamaha Motif XF boards... But if I can get the files open, (I don't have an XF anymore and I just sold my MODX7 last week) I could maybe at least semi guide you through recreating what was used. If it was good enough for PRINCE to use when he sang it, I'm sure it would well cover the needs of a cover band.
  3. Sold my MODX7 the day I got official word about this (before the official announcement)... Figured the market would get flooded with people trying upgrade. I bought it just to make some videos for YouTube anyway... I can't believe they brought out a new keyboard that's basically the same.
  4. The client I'm helping wants to have enough inputs to setup 32 channels of keyboards in his home studio. (That was his request). I told him about a patch bay and how convenient it would be, but he wants all 32 available at all times. ) I too was like that at one point in my journey... Not for 32 inputs but for 12-16... I ended up with a Mackie onyx 1220i. Lol. Man that was a long time ago.
  5. Would you ever consider using 3 of these to get to 32 channels? (Well 36 but you know what I mean)
  6. What's crazy is that while alot of these options are great, there aren't many 32 channel options at all. Very few. And the few that are there are EXPENSIVE!!!! 2 outs with 6 ins is pretty limiting... But I get it.
  7. It's a tough emulation to nail. But the great ones are really great. There are quite a few different top end options right now too. To name a few: - The Logic Pro X organ - Nord organs (in their keyboard) - UAD (universal audio) has a new organ VST and it sounds great. - There is a Hammond clone for IOS πŸ‘ŒπŸΎπŸ’ͺ🏾 - GSI VB3 - Kronos CX3 engine (also in Nautilus)
  8. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to engineer my first live recording. I documented my process and the few weeks of the journey leading to the event. And I wanted to share it with you all! (Video below) 5 piece band (keys, organ, drums, bass, lead) 8 background singers 2 lead singers Full 32 track recording
  9. Yeah he didn't say it was for a live show he just asked about what would be a good keyboard submixer...and asked if I could recommend the x32 for it.
  10. Someone just asked me about using the x32 as a keyboard submixer... I said absolutely not. (Not that it can't do the job because it can....) But all jokes aside (especially at that price range), I'd suggest the Korg MW 2408/1608. X32 would kinda be overkill ... plus not as convenient because of all the XLR to 1/4 cables it would "really require"... What are y'all submixing keys with? CHECK OUT THE MW SOUNDLINKπŸ‘€
  11. I have alot of maschine kits so I felt like it could be beneficial... Especially considering the fact of being able to put all those samples from my computer into my iPad and have it in an extremely small mobile form. I use backing percussion tracks all the time at church when I'm playing organ or keys... So this ups the mark significantly for me. Now I have great percussion/click track sounds that I can use in BeatMaker AND be in other time signatures other than 4/4....
  12. Hey guys, if any of you are heavy Native Instrument Maschine users (especially heavy into their expansions), this software allows you to convert their drum kits and sample libraries to be used in a number of other software platforms. GAME CHANGING!!!! The most notable conversion formats are into ready to go programs for your MPC drum machines (MPC KEY????), and also BeatMaker (IOS app). AND ABLETON!!! There are a few others. I did an overview of the software and wanted to share it. Thoughts? Link below. (Next reply)
  13. Slowly reading through the comments... But it's kinda crazy to me how people complain about the RAM size in the Kronos... I don't think people really grasp how much sample space is really available due to sample steaming ability.... You can really load a lot of stuff.... Then again the load unload process is so quick... If you need to unload and load, it's super fast.
  14. My bad, thought I gave all the important info. Keys plugged into patchbay. Patchbay connected to the JD6 (DI). DI outputs connected to the interface (mic level). Patchbay is in default configuration as far as I know. I didn't change anything. I'll check on exactly which model is it. I forgot. (I bought a floor rack from someone and it was left in there for free ...) It's a Behringer one though. 😏
  15. It does respond to it. But I'll ask this question... Why buy the 88 then not use the keys? May as well buy a lighter version. (Cheaper too) You can check out my YouTube channel... I've got dang near 25 videos about the Nautilus on there. I'd love to have you check out each and every one. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ There is a Nautilus playlist. And I don't mind answering any questions you may have or if there is something that you'd like to be addressed directly, I don't mind helping with that either.
