Anyone know the approximate time span here until we get solid info like pricing, specs, and manuals, and until there are units in stores to try out?
Are we looking at days, weeks, months, years, or what?

I've been waiting just as long for a light weight, updated, less expensive Kurzweil MidiBoard.
Too bad wishing doesn't make it so.

If you want more, there's always the Forte.
No, it´s not, because they ditched the ribbon control connector in Forte models.
On a Kurz I want the ribbon controller,- last but not least because it´s very useful together w/ flexible MIDI programming.
And the Kurz´ are good MIDI controllers ...

No argument here. My last Kurzweil was a K2600. I miss both of the ribbons, and I also used the breath controller.
I was disappointed to see you can't even use them as an option on the Forte. I think you still could on the PC3 though.

- Plastic body
- external PS
- Medeli keys
and they call it PC4 ????
C'mon Kurzweil, are you kiddin'???
If it holds the price down to an acceptable level, I'm not complaining. I haven't seen any real deal breakers yet.
If you want more, there's always the Forte.
I'm withholding judgement until there's more info available, as well as actual units to get hands on.

I appreciate the ribbon input is back,- but why does the 1/8" stereo audio input offer FX and the two 1/4" inputs don´t ?
A.C.
Why would you think that? What purpose do you think the 1/4" inputs would serve?

External PSU...
Is that a statement, or a question?

...This is the K3000 people have been asking for for years....
Sort of.
Yes - lots of people have been fantasizing about a K3000 for years, but everyone had a different idea about what it should include.
I think lots of people were looking for something other than VAST and the old sample sets.
I haven't kept up with what they've been doing since the K series though, so for me, there are still a lot of unanswered questions about the PC4.

There's an ill-named thread about it here: https://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/2982882/Ummmm_anybody_see_this#Post2982882
If true, it's the first board I've been excited about in a lot of years. Looking forward to a bit more info about it though.

Most of Kurzweil's lineup, except for two stage pianos, has 76 and 61 keyboards available.

I think the PC4 will have them too. They usually start with 88 though.
