  1. It will not cover everything OnSong does on iOS, but I regularly import chordpro and onsong formatted chord charts to Fakebook on Android. The Fakebook app also support IRP formatted charts, but t doesn't have the play-along feature for practice so it is not a perfect replacement. So, this _might_ just be an alternative if buying a cheap Android tablet is an option instead of running in e.g. Bluestacks.
  2. It looks promising (I love Erskines playing, his versatility and style of teaching), but apps like these tend to be limited -- e.g. you cannot use them for anything but the limited preloaded songs. Could you get in touch with the jazz workshop instructor and ask? I'd also like to get more info.
  3. I have used Bluestacks for some emergency access to Android apps and it works fine. It can be somewhat slow, but for a chord viewer like iReal it should be perfectly OK (I have used it with the Fakebook Pro music reader app without any problems).
  4. Great story. Maybe that drummer should cover your losses...
  5. You made my morning, Mike! Yes, I'm easy to please.
  6. Thanks! Now all loaded in my FakebookPro app...
  7. Exactly what I did! And boy am I disappointed....
  8. From bitter experience, I'm no longer an early adopter. As Apple's QC has deteriorated I'll leave to the brave to find the flaws.
  9. With a smile like that you can get away with anything!
  10. This is the way I think as well. Don't overdo it. As someone, wiser than me, said: "Good enough" is not nearly as wonderful a thing as "perfect", but it's good enough. I actually used Mainstage (and loved it) up until one particular, high profile and high paying, gig where the whole setup decided to fail on me in the middle of the show. All fine again after a reboot, but I still feel the pain in my stomach. Now I'm all HW.
  11. Not that I can remember I ever missed my old 106, but I'll check these out...
  12. Ah, considering the thread topic I thought the question was about the amp stand. I actually recognized THAT one.
  13. I don't get this? Almost all big modern arrangements includes not only strings, brass and percussion, but also a rhythm section where you'd be punched in the face if not offering also a chord chart.
  14. Meshell Ndegeocello. Went back to listen to her earlier, funkier stuff. And right now I'm at Bitter -- great, great record with some nasty bass and drums for songs that are essentially ballads.
  15. A cheap, first gen Chromecast. I have never watched/listened to as much music as the last weeks... Actually I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of both our streaming services and some of the YouTube videos available.
