  1. Finally heard back from forScore today and they said the issue should be resolved with their next update. Told me if it still doesn't work to contact them to sort it out. Don't want to switch to a different app as I have almost two thousand charts annotated in forScore. This is just a minor annoyance for now.
  2. I was using forScore to bring up patches on my Yamaha MODX earlier this year but that function no longer works. Messaged forScore and haven't heard back as to why. Any ideas?
  3. I run four Leslies and a PR40. The tone cabinet really can't compete with the Leslies, doesn't really add much to the overall sound.
  4. It's some serious wheelin' and dealin', I've mastered the art of haggling over the years.
  5. MODX wasn't listed as a qualifying item, I asked the rep and he put me on hold (likely checked with his supervisor) and gave me the discount.
  6. I think the edits are funnier, lol. The French horn example is brilliant.
  7. I just ordered a brand new Yamaha MODX+ from Woodwind and Brasswind and got 20 percent off. If anyone is in the market for a new keyboard now is the time to call them and inquire about their current sale going on!
  8. I can't vouch for its validity. Local music store posted this on Facebook recently.
  9. I keep tracking of what I've paid for all of my gear in spreadsheets, and I'm in shock at how much prices have gone up in just the last several years. I paid $223 for a Gator TSA 88-key case back in 2016, now that same case is $600! Paid $190 for a Gator 88-key gig bag in 2018, now that bag is $400! Paid $450 for my Kurzweil KA-90 that same year and now that board is retailing for a grand! Those are insane markups in a relatively short time period. Good thing is I can sell most of this gear and not lose any money on what I paid for it brand new!
  10. I think I might consider replacing my Kurzweil KA-90 and my MODX76 with the new MODX88+ model. The only reason I've kept the Kurz is because of the built in speakers (the internal piano sucks) which are usually loud enough for most gigs but the sound just doesn't compare to my pair of EV ZXA1s. Action on the Kurz is also sluggish. MODX88+ is only 3 pounds heavier and I'm sure has better action. There's a Guitar Center near a future gig site that has one in stock so I'll check it out before the gig and make a decision from there.
  11. You guys rule! Thanks for the tips, I'll give those options a try.
  12. I've got a wedding ceremony gig coming up where I have to bring my keyboard as the venue doesn't have anything. I just installed a Bosendorfer sample library on my Yamaha MODX7 which I'm trying to control with my Kurzweil KA-90 (I need weighted action and prefer the full 88 key range). For some reason not every note triggers the sound or certain notes will trigger on and off randomly. I don't think it's an issue with the Kurzweil because I've always run MIDI Out into my V3 piano module and never had any issues with that setup. Any ideas?
  13. FWIW, we get $200/gig no matter if it's a public or private event.
  14. Aren't you out in LA? That's all they pay out there?!
  15. I've always gotten most of my Hammond/Leslie parts from Tonewheel General Hospital.
  16. I don't trust cloud storage and I have over 1800 annotated charts in my iPad Pro so I recently bought a backup iPad Pro. Was able to download forScore for free on the backup iPad and AirDrop everything over seamlessly. Never was an Apple fan but I'm a convert now.
  17. Still running Windows 7 here and still getting updates, lol
  18. I've got a 256GB model with almost 1800 charts loaded in forScore and I'm only using about 10 percent of the total memory.
  19. I use the same exact setup and have this drum hardware rolling bag that I also use to store my speaker/music stands. Works great and still looks great after many years of use. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/AA5038W--ahead-armor-cases-ogio-engineerd-drum-sled-rolling-hardware-case-38-inch-by-16-inch-by-14-inch
  20. A lot of the classic country piano signature songs that I thought was Floyd Cramer was actually Pig Robbins!
  21. What a weekend of games! Every one of them down to the wire like it should be!
  22. That's it! I wrote out the entire song earlier except I haven't gotten to the pad chords played under the second verse yet.
