  1. Haha! That's exactly the one I use!! I prefer Zero Tension Mouse although they are larger and more cumbersome, but they don't seem to make them any more, and mine began dying and just don't work well any more. Too bad.
  2. This one is the one I am currently using. I was using Zero Tension Mouse for a couple of decades, but they don't seem to be making those any more. I began using a vertical mouse in the late 1990s when I realized my wrist was starting to hurt.
  3. Even if it's for 25%, you're still shifting positions, so I see that as a positive. I cannot possibly exaggerate how much a vertical mouse can save one's wrist.
  4. Wow, that's a lot of stuff!! And yeah, L-shape. To really do this, I guess you would need two standing desks? Would that even work?
  5. Getting your own top for the desk is such a great thing. The Flexispot E7 I reviewed and have in my studio now came with its own bamboo top, which I like, but being able to get something like a butcher block wood countertop from Lowes is huge. The open area - the ability to easily access stuff behind or under the desk - to me is already worth the price of admission. Sorry about the poor leg circulation. I don't know if alternating between standing and sitting would help that. Your doctors would know for sure.
  6. On my FB pages, we had some lengthy discussions about using standing desks and what our experiences were with them. What's your opinion on them? Do you use them for a workstation, work desk, work table? And did you use a floormat with this? I began this discussion because I was reviewing a height-adjustable motorized standing desk for Photofocus. Review: Flexispot E7 Height Adjustable Premium Standing Desk "Flexispot sent us their E7 Premium Standing Desk. We check it out and help determine if it might be beneficial to you." https://photofocus.com/reviews/review-flexispot-e7-height-adjustable-premium-standing-desk/
  7. Out of curiosity, do you believe that the diversity of note combinations has remained the same (or increased) in the past 50 years? If so, why? Also, why does this study fall apart almost instantly upon any real examination? Do you believe that because the journal is apparently not true simply because it's allegedly open-source and not peer-reviewed and not replicated? Do you suppose it's possible that it could be true even if all of the above is true? Just curious. Thanks for your time.
  8. I get that. It's just such a shame that the thread was derailed because I was really looking forward to reading people's lists of artists and why they might choose that artist. I felt that this would be more interesting than arguing over the final parts of Apple's business model for the 492nd time.
  9. It's a fantasy question, yet this has turned into a giant mess of debates. I dunno. Who do you want to sign and why? I would have thought that would be more interesting than that.
  10. This is a Doors tribute band called Break On Through. I recorded and mixed the music. Also, this video was filmed in my living room. To record the music, I studied up on some of the recording techniques used to record The Doors Sunset Sound to try and get their recording closer to that, which the band loved. Although I recorded this eleven years ago, I don't believe I've ever shared this video with you before.
  11. Wow. That's extra bad. Speaking of Bad, there's the Bad News Bears. We hope and hope every year they will turn things around, and every year, like Lucy pulling the football from Charlie, we fall for it. They are a grease fire. Caleb Williams. That is all.
  12. Haha! Well, I'd like to think the list was varied and interesting, Mr. Cook!
  13. Review: Huion Inspiroy Dial 2 Pen Tablet The Huion Inspiroy Dial 2 pen tablet offers illustrators, graphic designers, photographers and artists a controller with pen-to-paper experience. The battery-free pen, dials and buttons enable you to switch functions quickly. We take a closer look at whether this is useful for you. https://photofocus.com/reviews/review-huion-inspiroy-dial-2-pen-tablet/
  14. Haha! Yeah, they musta had one camera trained on her the entire time. Here's how BAD the Bears are. The Dolphins dropped SEVENTY POINTS on the Broncos, scoring fifty more points. Despite that throttling, Vegas has the Broncos beating the Bears by 2.5 points.
  15. Kinda thinking that experimenting and coming up with some really great stuff might do just that with her creativity. In either case, purely out of curiosity, when you feel she lost her creative center?
  16. This is gonna change from hour to hour, so I dunno, just spitballing here. Peter Gabriel - be ambitious and worldly Taylor Swift - take more chances and explore Brian Eno - use analog gear again and experiment Eleven Shadows - create ambient goodness and weirdness with unfettered access to tons of signal processing and analog synths and guitars Emmylou Harris - get in the studio with Daniel Lanois and make the most beautiful music possible Mdou Moctar - hit us right in the heart with your music again, but have a budget Herbie Hancock - get spacey and cool, getting together with your Headhunters compadres and let it fly Lady Gaga - experiment and see what you do Adele - experiment with someone like Daniel Lanois or Brian Eno or a left-of-center producer and see what you come up with in the studio Sade - see above Khruangbin - what would you sound like if you can completely let it fly and work with different people? You're already great.... Radiohead - Any time you get these guys in the studio, magic happens. Let it fly, but get weird. Again. Tinarawen - These people are amazing and should always be heard. Stevie Wonder - make a sweaty, beautiful funk album with no ballads Robin Guthrie - make it immersive, make it deep....just even more so. Such beautiful melodies. Be even more evocative with a great budget. Lucinda Williams - do I really need to explain here? She's just amazing. Oumou Sangare - one of the most emotional artists around. Be YOU. Here's some African musicians. Be YOU and sing your heart out to every African woman everywhere. Orishas - Keep taking your hip-hop and traditional son melodies/instrumentation to the next level. What would you sound like when given total access to the best studios? M.I.A. - Be YOU. But with a huge budget. Spoek Mathambo - See above. Alison Krauss - duh. Robert Plant - You are restless creatively. Get it out of your system, again and again. Katie Pruitt - It's criminal that this incredible songwriter and singer is not heard more. If nothing else, a huge budget would raise eyebrows and get notice.
  17. I do own an iPhone 14 Pro, which is the first time I've ever owned a "flagship" phone. I got an offer through Verizon that seemed to good not to do. The camera on it is very useful, and I like that I am now able to take photos of products I am reviewing for Photofocus and simply take it with the iPhone. Nice and quick and easy. Yes, it's that good. Does it replace a DSLR or mirrorless camera? Of course not. But is it good for an article review? Sure. But typically, I had older phones or budget phones, and they always worked great. I'm not an Apple fanboy, but so much of their stuff. Just. Works. And I like the extra security measures and insulated eco-system, as everything runs super smoothly all the time. Or about as close as you can get to all the time.
  18. Cool comment, thanks, and I just replied to it. I didn't discuss Goodwill. I am happy to hear you've had some luck with that. I have not, at least not for photography gear. But I've gotten other cool things from there. I always see tripods there, but they are definitely not the kind I want. But sure, it might be good for me to get light stands or other things from there. I should go there more often.
  19. Top 3 second-hand camera gear picks for savvy photographers https://photofocus.com/photography/top-3-second-hand-camera-gear-picks-for-savvy-photographers/
  20. This has been my experience with them when I had them a few years ago. And given that I go into remote mountain and desert areas to do photography often, that's an issue. That's why I switched to Verizon. That said, if you don't care about that, my experience with T-Mobile was positive. Their customer service was responsive, they worked well in metropolitan areas, and they had really great international coverage.
  21. They are African dancers. There are links in the caption on YouTube. One is from the Dogon ritual dance. The other, I have no clue other than that it's African dancing. Both are really cool videos, and yes, both are Creative Commons or otherwise free for public use. If you want links, go to the captions, as they don't seem to cut and paste properly here. Thanks!
