  1. No, but you can assign functions to the "virtual pads" which is what the buttons under the display turn into when enabled for that. So you could put samples there.
  2. I midi'd my JX10 and Juno 106 together. The 106 did the base organ sound, and I used the JX to trigger a legato percussion ping. With the legato setting it would onlt retrigger the percussion sound when you picked up your hand, like on a Hammond.
  3. Here's a video of my PF tribute "Echoes" doing Dogs at our show Friday. Recorded by my cousin on his digital camera and 1 mic. The mix isn't perfect because he's getting a lot of stage sound from the side he's on, but it's not bad. Warning- it's 17 minutes long, but there are some cool keyboard parts in it! [video:youtube]
  4. I'm pretty sure in the EQ section there is a level control as well- I didn't boost the individual bands when I did it. Check in the manual about the EQ section, like I said I don't have it anymore so I can't verify.
  5. I forget exactly where it is (I sold my SK) but I remember boosting a volume in there that brought the organ up. I think it was an EQ section.
  6. Even playing aggressive organ on an Electro, with swipes and smears and all that, it doesn't move as long as you have something for the board to get traction on. I put some adhesive rubber strips on my stand so there wasn't the metal bottom of the nord sitting on the metal arms of the stand.
  7. The supernatural synth and other S/N sounds are hardly dated.
  8. Thank you for saying in one sentence what took me an entire page LOL! And here I was thinking wow, David just really explained it and all I did was answer with 1 sentence! I hadn't seen your reply before I posted mine!
  9. I think Yamaha is better on acoustic plucked strings, like guitars and basses. Strings, brass are all comparable. AP/EP are subjective. Roland wins on the synth side (in my opinion)
  10. It was one sound at a time before. Now you can group multiple sounds together and have them change.
  11. I did the update to 2.0 this morning, no issues. They added a few new factory presets to demo the sound remain/switching thing. Lots of possibilities there.
  12. I was telling my wife about the 07 yesterday, not because I wanted to buy one, but because of the 2.0 update. She immediately thought I was out to get a new board, and I said why would I buy the same board I already have just in a smaller format?
  13. Right now I have the FA sending program changes and controlling sounds on my Electro, but I have the patches lined up 1:1. The downside is if I have 15 patches with a piano or organ sounds, I use 15 patches in the Electro to duplicate what should be 2 patches. I'll be interested to see how it works with my full stack for the Floyd band. Right now I don't do any program changes from the FA for that, while the boards are midi'd together for control/layer purposes, I change each patch manually. I put it all in order for the show and scroll thru on each board.
  14. doing the 2.0 update later today.
  15. it was only on the 61 note that this happened. Not a problem on the 88.
  16. actually the website says the FA07 has a semi-weighted, velocity-sensitive keyboard, while it says the 06 has a velocity sensitive keyboard. It sounds like 2 different actions to me. If it's something like the JP50 that would be a good thing.
  17. Well, it's kinda hard to transmit AT when it doesn't have it to begin with... You can assign AT to an expression pedal and transmit it that way if needed.
  18. I do some velocity switching in layers on my FA08, where a stronger synth sound layers on top of a softer pad when you hit it harder.
  19. other goodies: sound remain on assignable multiple sounds in a studio set pad mode assign storeable by studio set
  20. this is great news- the biggest weakness of the board in my opinion.
  21. I picked up a pair of EV ELX112P speakers with covers about a month ago. Enjoying the better bottom end than the Eon 610's I had before this. They are heavier but actually make my loading easier as they are not rounded off and things can stack on them on the hand cart and in the van.
  22. Mate didn't say the action was better, only lighter.
  23. Picked up 2 EV ELX112P speakers with covers from Proaudiostar for a good price. Sold my Eons in 2 hours on Facebook. Have some new right angle cables arriving today to help with my live setup.
  24. Sweet setup, but that desk is FAR too clean!
  25. You need to edit them with a photo editing software. Even paint in windows will let you resize them.
