  1. Moonglow, You remember my vocalist (the 103rd street gig, you may have brought Linda). He had a regular first Sat of the month gig dj'ing a swingers party. As he told us a number of times "it aint what you think; its worse than a nude beach: the people you want to see naked are nowhere to be found, and those that are naked make you wish they were nowhere to be found." (my words but his sentiment) It paid well, but he said he earned it. No, he never.....um.....crowd surfed for lack of a better term. I'm also sorry to say that my pal died 2 months ago. RIP A.N.
  2. Tony here.... What Dan said. Felt great, looked cool.....IN the studio Completely stupid for live. Ergonomically a disaster, it was anything but spontaneous. Not intuitive, and you couldn't really tell what was doing what.
  3. Peak is a beast....if this is ANYthing like that, I'm in. And while I've never gotten my hand on a Supernova II, the keybed in the Ultranova is better than the keybeds in $1500 synths. Here's hopin....
  4. According to the manual, "The Split Point can be changed from the [sETTINGS] button ->Function->Split Point WOAH....how did I miss that? This one of the only manuals I HAVE read!
  5. I found the EPs to very good. Haven't gigged with it yet, but that will happen soon. SUPER Easy to program as a controller. A few quirks I discovered: you get 4zones PLUS the internal engine. Although the 4 zones can be split anywhere the internal zone can be split at One Predetermined point, just below middle C. Also, when using with another midi device, you will need to go into the global menu and turn the midi transmit channel to off. Otherwise, if you call up a preset where you have all 4 external zones are disabled, you'll still transmit. It took me about 15 mins to figure out what was happening with it. I havent read all 17 pages but I'll assume someone has gushed about the gorgeous feeling of the 73 keybed that only weighs 28 lbs. I LIKE IT. She's a keeper.
  6. YMMV. I interviewed Adam Holzman (Steven Wilson Band, Miles, others) a couple years ago when he was in Chicago. He loved the SV1 because it "was the only piano that didnt get crunchy loud." He is absolutely correct. I listened to it that entire show, and after having used one in months of rehearsals, I would agree. Sound quality of the piano doesn't suck.
  7. Wait....this wasn't an April Fools joke???
  8. Well, for the first time ever...I left something at home I needed at the gig. No big deal: it was just my @#)($*&@#)(&*$#)@($& cable case. With my SPARE CABLES in it. (DOH) So my latest musical purchase was $200 worth of midi and instrument cables, and 2 power strips an extension cord, and an iPad holder. On the other hand,I did get a Sledge 2.0 in black last week.
  9. Plus....wouldn't the VR fit on top of the Mojo?? where you could get to its controls?
  10. Thanks Chief! Ive been lucky to play with some great talent.
  11. Festejar I figured since I've never spammed you guys, it was time! IF you like any of it, come check out some other stuff. ITS FREE. LOLOZ TonySoundcloud My page
  12. When I gig the Seven, I use it as designed; on its own legs, and with the lid.
  13. Sounds great, the action is definitely heavy but most like a Rhodes I've EVER felt, and I've owned 4 Rhodes myself, one of which I spent 8 years on. I dont LOVE the stack knobs for this application...not easy to adjust in live situations. BUT MAN DOES IT SOUND GOOD.
  14. Nice see the Forum has taken on a roman feel. or did I just stumble onto facebook?
