Both my guitars have issues right now but I have a musician friend around the block who'll let me borrow one of his guitars to finish the album...mostly leads! Bill -

I get quarterly payments from CDBaby...not enough to buy a Latin America country but more than enough to starve on First release was 6 years ago and the second was 3 years ago....working on finishing the third release and looking to retire at the end of the year so gonna try moving from a release every 3 years to every year....and maybe some promotion too! Believe it or not, not every PC comes from Walmart at 300.00 I spent quite a bit on a build last year and it is fairly powerful....i91200k running at 5.2ghz, 128gb of RAM, dual Lan, TB4, USB 3.2 and 2, room for 4 ssd and 8hdd...yadda yadda. Do the work and you can have a killer machine! So far I have tried running 4-6 instances of Diva in "God Mode" and it doesn't break a sweat Bill

Mono 6 string guitar played three times with three different pickup settings panned L, R, and C. Center channel is more for a simplified version of the rhythm at a lower volume. All three tracks are sent to a stereo Guitar Buss for compression, delay, verb, etc. 12 string guitar I record stereo each pickup setup at L67, R67, C. 12 string tracks go to a 12 String Stereo Buss for the same reasons as the 6 string. Bass Guitar is mono and centered. Drums...bass, snare, toms, and hihat are mono..crash cymbals, room and OH mics are stereo. Kick centered, Snare slightly right, etc. to place the dums in a listener position. Drums go to a stereo Drum Buss that has 2 FX Sends to seperate Compression(crushed!) and Reverb Busses. Bill

Analog Tape Recording: Anyone still doing it?
Bill Heins replied to Old Music Guy's topic in Recording Magazine - The Forum
No I have 2 separate SSDs, a 1TB for Windows, Programs, plugins. etc. and a second 2TB drive for my projects. I also use 4 hdds for sample libraries and an external for backup until I burn to bluray. All told I'm sitting on 18TB of room I can add 2 more SSD's to the motherboard or 1 SSD and 4 more hdds...not worried about space here Bill
