NYKeys
Out with the old {Sold KC-150, Art FX-1, and DR-770 Drum machine} In With the New http://lh5.ggpht.com/_PTpjqxUnXDM/SZlxzL7bVGI/AAAAAAAACus/8-wYt7e48po/s144/Julian%27s%20Dress%20Code%20080.jpghttp://lh5.ggpht.com/_PTpjqxUnXDM/SZlx0ffeSNI/AAAAAAAACu0/IWKCFbzuggg/s144/Julian%27s%20Dress%20Code%20081.jpghttp://lh5.ggpht.com/_PTpjqxUnXDM/SZlx2PmTggI/AAAAAAAACu8/sgHm8vP_r2A/s144/Julian%27s%20Dress%20Code%20082.jpg http://lh6.ggpht.com/_PTpjqxUnXDM/SZlx4mAeZjI/AAAAAAAACvE/U1u0ZvihiAw/s144/Julian%27s%20Dress%20Code%20083.jpg http://lh6.ggpht.com/_PTpjqxUnXDM/SZlx5v4-cGI/AAAAAAAACvM/2UPUMvVfYZo/s144/Julian%27s%20Dress%20Code%20084.jpg I just got her yesterday. She sounds and feels Great. Thought I would hate the action, but I was wrong. After playing around with it a bit I figured out how to change the touch response. Wow what a difference. The ribbon controllers were another shock. String swells no problem. I get a chance to test it out with the band at rehearsal tomorrow, cant wait I am still trying to figure out how to control the zones. Once I get this down I think I will be straight. I only had a short time to play it with my Motif ES Rack and I must say it is like night and day. I was never happy using the XP60 as a controller, just a different feel and sound. Real happy. NYKeys
Thanks Fella's. I looked at my pics and noticed all the dust. I will clean her up tonight. Maybe open it and clean the contacts and keys real good. This should fill my needs for right now. Next thing on my list is Sound. I will never go cheap on sound again. I might get either something from Motion Sound, a Traynor K4, or go the PA route. MikeT156
Go the PA route, you shouldn't go cheap on sound there either. MoodyBluesKeys
I had an SP88X for a family piano for a while (replaced it with a PC2X). You might want to go the Kurzweil web site and download the owner manual - you have to know what buttons to push together to get into some of the limited programming that is available. http://www.kurzweilmusicsystems.com Howard Grand|Hamm SK1-73|Kurz PC2|PC2X|PC3|PC3X|PC361; QSC K10's HP DAW|Epi Les Paul & LP 5-str bass|iPad mini2 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." NYKeys
Just got done reading the manual. I plan on setting up my midi-setups to work with my rack tonight. Oh I am about to have some fun with this. There is a merger on the midi in too (Yes). This baby does a lot more than I thought it could do. I was wondering if there was a way to Set a foot pedal to go the next Midisetup? Also would be nice If I could change Increase/Dec Octaves when you press the pedal and change it back with another press. I guess I could setup a midisetup to do this. Mike Davis
I know a couple of guys who have these. They're light and easy to deal with. The Kurzweils, I mean . . .
NYKeys
LOVE LOVE LOVE this board. MidiSetups (PERFORMANCE MODE)are a piece of cake and the Rack complements this so well. Splits and Layers were no problem once I figured out how to tweak it. montunoman
Congrats! May I be so bold as to ask how much you paid? also curious if it plays back midi files. Thanks!
retrokeys
Had one for a year or so and loved it. If it had had a clavinet I'd still own it. Went from purple to red and replaced it with a nord but still like Kurz pianos. Alot.

jimtheswede
I still have mine but it's retired after I replaced it with a Kurz PC1se. I used mine mostly as a controller and it worked great for that purpose. Very easy to haul and the action was nice for semi-weighted keys. Only thing I don't like about it is the lettering graphics are very hard to read, and the interface was awkward for setting up layers, patch changes, etc. I am currently trying to control my GAS and not pull the trigger on a PC3x.
