I went to her ashram numerous times, had dinner with her, went to a few of her shows, including the one from several months back with her son Ravi, and went to high school with her (belated) son John (jr.). I hadn't really been in touch with her recently, but will still nevertheless always be grateful for the energy she put towards me and my friends. R.I.P., Alice Coltrane, I will miss you. One thing I recall is how, during her son's funeral, she was greeting everyone, smiling, saying that she knew he was in a happier place now. I hope she's in that happier place with her son and her husband now.
