MidLifeCrisis
I was over at the KC Backstage site and saw a thread where they posted pictures of the members performing live on stage. It would be great to do a similar thing here to see what everyone looks like as well as seeing what the various rigs look like in a live setting. I was going to start and post my pic but I didn't know if it had been done here before. Sven Golly
Live Rig picture thread. More about the gear than the players... Cheers, SG
MidLifeCrisis
Hmmm....two pictures of keyboards sitting in somebody's living rooms. Not exactly what I had in mind. Sven Golly
Sarcasm duly noted. I meant to paste this link rather than the one I used above, but I realize that this thread, while containing more pictures, is more studio and home setups. So knock yourself out... post away. Cheers, SG

ITGITC
http://www.tlhenry.com/photos/Fred_Tom2.jpg This is Fred (a urologist) and me playing outside in the heat and humidity on the Refried Beans Intracoastal waterway tour in Oriental, North Carolina. You can tell by the sweat on my shirt that the humidity was overwhelming. Nevertheless, it was a great tour & we had lots of fun. I'm playing my Kurzweil PC2X. Behind me is a Mackie 1402-VLZPro. In the rack is some old equipment: an Alesis 3630 compressor that I never use, a Digitech DSP 128 effects unit (for vocal reverb, when needed), a DOD stereo EQ, and a Hafler XL-280 stereo amp (one of two). For an idea of the kind of music I perform with 'The Beans', CLICK HERE. The band conists of three guys fronting the band playing acuoustic guitar & singing. Behind them is The Judge (yes, he's a magistrate) on congas/percussion, and me on the PC2X playing left-hand bass and piano/wurly/accordian/organ with my right hand. Since we have a judge and a urologist in the band we claim that, for a small fee, you can get married and have your tubes tied all in the same weekend. It's all about having fun... I hope you enjoy the tune. Tom "Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent." - Victor Hugo
Dreamer
Tom, loved your songs with the Refried Beans, but loved even more what you did with "Moment's notice". Your solo in "Mr magic" is really cool. P.S: never let an urologist stand behind you. ITGITC
Originally posted by DanS: So Gas, you actually 'play'? Sweat? I just assumed it was beer..... Hi DanS Well, I used to play... a lot. Now I just sit around and drink beer. OF COURSE I PLAY, DAMMIT! But I'm down to nine fingers and I'm really bummed about it because I've still got a pin in one with a little plastic yellow ball stuck on the end and it looks funny and it grosses out all the women. Worse than that, I can't play worth a crap now and I'm 'jonesin' to get back into it with something that's going to work. (Hence the thread about what YOU would like to hear in a restaurant/pub.) Sorry... I'm grumpy. I need a cup of coffee this morning. Be right back... Have a nice day.
