Llarion
I had a teacher named Gary Philips that I have kept in touch with since high school, I was in his class in 1980. He was one of those teachers that affected you forever. He has become a great friend. Well, his wife Sandy is an aspiring painter. We got a box in the mail today, unannounced. It seems his wife had gone to my Abby's website, grabbed a favorite photo, painted it, and sent us the result, framed! I don't think I've ever been so stunned and surprised and moved by a gift... Here is the picture she used, Abby was about a month old: http://www.llarion.com/AbbyTigger120203web.jpg**** And here was what she sent. http://www.llarion.com/AbbyPainting.jpg Man, how do you thank somebody for something this profound? This is not your run of the mill amateur painting, nor is it a run of the mill gift! Cheers! Phil "Llarion: The Jazzinator" Traynor www.llarion.com Smooth Jazz - QUESTION AUTHORITY. Chip Curtis
Aspiring painter? I'd bet she's schooled and at least semi-pro, and she's good. Congratulations. Awesome. Lucky.

Dave Horne
Very nice! <<< Man, how do you thank somebody for something this profound>>> At the very least you should take them out to dinner to show your appreciation ... or a case of very nice wine. No guitarists were harmed during the making of this message. In general, harmonic complexity is inversely proportional to the ratio between chording and non-chording instruments. Llarion
Thanks guys! Dinner would be impractical as they live 1300 miles away, but wine.. hmm.... Cheers!
