Dave Bryce
This question came up in a conversation I was having yesterday. If the Raiders win the Super Bowl this year, Bill Romanowski will have rings from being on three different championship teams. We all know that there are several players who have Super Bowl rings from being on two different teams, but does anyone have Super Bowl rings from being on three different teams, or would Romo be the first? Inquiring minds want to know... dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <== Professional Affiliations: Royer Labs • Music Player Network
Jeff Klopmeyer
Aw shit. I don't know this off the top of my head, but it's interesting enough that perhaps I'll do a little NFL.com research and get back to ya. - Jeff Marketing Communications for MI/Pro Audio My solo music and stuff They Stole My Crayon

Gulliver
Sometimes I just don't have a clue what the hell you are talking about, guys... PS. I think this is my first and the last "attempt" to "participate" in the football oriented thread. (lol) I am back.

Postman
I can't find a definitive answer to the question on the web. It's happened in the NHL: Mike Keane has done it with the Avs, Stars, and Canadiens. I have a feeling that if it has been done in the NFL it would be by someone not very well known, a journeyman who provided "veteran leadership". Of course, this is all moot. Romanowski might be the first, but sadly the Raiders season will be over in four days. But interesting trivia nonetheless.
dave-G
Romo would be the 1st as far as I know. It was noted somewhere that Harry Swayne holds a record for having played in Superbowls with 3 teams: Baltimore, Denver and San Diego, so that would imply nobody else has even had the chance to win it with three teams. Hmm.. seems like there must be a kicker somewhere... -dave DAVE GREENBERG SONOPOD MASTERING
Dave Bryce
Even my most serious football addict friends can't come up with a definitive answer on this one.... I wonder if there's an ultimate football trivia database somewhere. aliengroover
I'm inclined to agree that Romo would be the first. Now, here's another bit of Footieball history trivia, blah: What two teams played in the first televised pro football game?Peace If at first you don't succeed, keep on sucking 'til you do suck seed! dave-G
Apparently, I forgot Preston Pearson (BAL, PIT, DAL) who also played in Superbowls with three different teams. I guess Swayne tied his record? -dave DAVE GREENBERG SONOPOD MASTERING

aliengroover
Haha, that's why my hint was right region (Noo Yawk), "wrong sport". The Brooklyn Dodgers..haha! They went 4-6-1 that year. The Eagles went 1-9-1. Also playing that year were the Chicago Cardinals and the Cleveland Rams. The Packs beat the Giants 27-0 (payback from the previous year). The attendance was 32,279. The Green Bay player's share: $850. Giants: $650.Peace If at first you don't succeed, keep on sucking 'til you do suck seed!
