No. It's a plate that collects the drool.

Foreign countries first! Since you guys spoiled my appetite by bringing McDonalds to my country, you can make it up by sending this baby to me!

P.s: if it hasn't a GM kit build in, I don't want it! http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/tongue.gif

I like the features and the layout pretty well.

But with all due respect, it's obviously not quite out of the oven yet.

Looks a photoshop assembled pic, but probably using the final artwork.

I've always had trust in Bob Moog's sensibilities towards synth designs, so this pic doesn't give me much additional input to go on.

Feel and sound (or maybe feel vs sound?) is what makes a synth an experience to me and for the time being, I can't have either. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/frown.gif

The curiousity regarding these two aspects is still high.

So yeah.... it's a drool cup for now.

Anyone know what it's supposed to list for?

Dave, do you have some connections to push me as a tester? I`m not sure that if I sell my car I will have enough money to buy this baby.

It`s sure a looker, I just hope that`s genuine wood, or I dont want it http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif .

Seriously, If I was planning to buy one of these babies, I'd be a little

dissapointed because of:

I'd expect it to be a 2001 (perhaps a 2002) Minimoog, one of the BEST BASS BEASTS around,So I'd wish the keybed's lower key to be E like in a real 4 string BASS, not F as pictured.

Ok, ok... I was just... nevermind...

I am seriously aroused right now. My other keyboards are all giving me that "It's not so hot!" look, but I know better. Yeah, baby, come to papa! Let me tweak your sexy little knobs - ooh, you have to MANY!

Touchpads and buttons and knobs - oh my!

I haven't been so turned on by the mere visual "sex appeal" of a keyboard since my Sequential Circuits Pro One. If it sounds half as cool as it looks, it's sure to be a big hit!

Wow! Now THAT'S worth waiting for! I don't want a Prophecy anymore! http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif And maybe not even a Mini, if this thing sounds as good and plays as well as it looks.

Obviously, this is just an image, although a very good one. Dave, have you seen/heard the real thing yet? Played it? Will it still be selling for $1999 list? Since you have a Mini now, maybe you can let us know how the two compare after you've test-driven one! I'll take your word for it! http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Peace all,

Steve

I saw the prototype when he showed it a while ago, but it wasn't working. Please do be assured that I'll be all over that sucker on the first day of Summer NAMM.

I'm gonna be really surprised if this baby doesn't take my head off... http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Update:

Price is going to be $2995 (no discounts). This is for the Bob Moog signature model, collectable version. These will only be available through Big Briar--order now to secure the lowest possible serial number. Estimated ship date is October 2001. At some point in 2002 they will make a general distribution version (non signature) which will be sold via retailers.

The unit does have preset memory. This is a bit of a surprise to me as I believe the original spec did not include it.
