DrummerCafe
If I won the package, I'd probably donate it to a small church I've been playing at for over three years now. I just bought them a YAMAHA Stage Custom Advantage kit (all I could afford) ... but would love to have the DW there ... especially since I would get to play on it! felix stein
I would sell it to a player much more deserving than myself and buy a Mac for my studio. felix's band
Steve LeBlanc
I'd give it to my brother who's a much better drummer in exchange for his current kit. The two of us have spent so much money building our studio we haven't had a dime to spend on instruments. He needs a new kit, I need a new amp...got more microphones to buy first though. Really we're pretty blessed http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.youtube.com/notesleb

djarrett
That is sweet Tedster. You could really make your son's Christmas with that kit!! DJ
Brenton Trott
I'd use it. So Dendy, is this just restricted the US and Canada? That's all it allowed under the country box. Brenton Hey, Brenton: Unfortunately, this is the case. Might I suggest a work around, if you have a friend in the States. That person could enter for you and if they win, you could arrange shipping with them. Sorry 'bout that! I don't make the rules, just live by them. Thanks, DJ Cheers Brenton
tmfields
The first thing I would do is check my underwear!!! and then like clokwirk said "WAKE THE NEIGHBORS!!!" Lee Flier
This is a great thing Dendy! I already have a great drum kit and I'm not even really a drummer, so I'd give it to a drummer who is really great and could never afford it. I have a couple in mind. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif That would be so cool. Question: is Drum! magazine becoming a musicplayer network partner? You guys don't have a drum mag involved! --Lee

Steve LeBlanc
[facetious]Wha? Why? Do you decide the winner DJ? Lessee, y'know I have a lot of connections in nashville[/facetious]hehe http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.youtube.com/notesleb
djarrett
Hey Steve! No, I do not decide the winner. It is selected via a third party that selects all our winners at MusicPlayer.com. Everyone has a chance to win. I actually have this very same kit as my main drumset. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif I wish everyone could win one! Now ... {facetious} about those connections in Nashville!!!????? http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/wink.gif DJ
djarrett
Hey, Most worthy drum dudes and dudettes! I am getting lots of e-mails from folks that want to win the drumset, but are out of the country. Our contest rules are governed by an outside agency ... kinda like those guys that hold the envelopes for the awards shows. Unfortunately, they do not allow for those outside the US or Canada to register. A great work around (and the only one I can determine) ... find a contact in the US that will register for you in your name in the US with their address. If you win, you will be responsible to arrange for your own shipping from that person's location to your location abroad. We have had several that have registered this way. Hope this offers some solutions! Peace, DJ
ian1642605905
Well if I won I'd leave my Tamas set up for a practice kit and use the DW's as my stage kit!!I'm on a roll guys, lady luck has just sent me a nice new guitar so dont be mad when I win!...Man I can dream can't I? ian* ian*
djarrett
Ian*: You dream on good buddy! New guitar and new drums ... perhaps lightening does strike twice in the same place. nanajoycekscable.com
lessee- if i won it, i'd see how it sounds of course---- if the snare sounds like my dw collector's maple 5x14, i'd put it in storage along with my other 'don't like it no more' gear! than, i'd set the kit up trap-style. 12", and 16" toms, the kick, and my dynasonic snare. i'd see if the supplied dw hihat stand is as good as my current dw5500 stand, if not- off to the closet with it! i'd strip the double pedal to a single one, and see if i like it as much as my current dw 5000tdh. if not..... i only use three cymbals- crash, ride, and hats. i'd check out the hhx, and see how they stack up to my set (which i've spent AGES putting together). any hhx that sounds better than my avedis' (possible, but not likely- i think hh's and hhx's are great, but my 'magic' cymbals just happen to be zildjian) stays. the others.... i'll also check out how the sticks sound on ride cymbals. if they're good, i'll use em. if not... so by now my closet is pretty full! i'll take the left over 10" and 14" drums and find a matching kick to go along with them, as well as the cymbals. combine them with my current back up hardware (pearl eliminator kick and eliminator hihat stand, tama cymbal stands), and i'll have a nice fusion set to use as trade in twords a 16 or 24 track digital recorder! the dw stands and pedals become my backups. ahhhhh..... daydreams! Gaddabout
If I won that kit, I'd go out and play a big gig, embarass myself, and still blame it on the equipment. Gee, I wonder why I don't get many callbacks ...
BruBoz
If I won the drumset giveaway, I would use my new drumkit to bring peace and harmony to all nations of the world, abolish world hunger, end wars in all countries. Also, cure all of kinds of diseases, and end racism. Oh yeah, and I'd try really hard to stop using curse words. Are you getting all of this, God!? http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif

serpico3
OK DJ, I would hold a raffle and all the proceeds would be go for Drug Addicted Children for rehabilitation, I already own 3 Great Kits, 2 Greysch and a Noble & Cooley. So I only enter this for this perpose.I think it;s admirable to hear all the other Drummers on this Forum, with their plans for this Kit, but even to the Drummer who wants this kit for himself , I extend a Healthy, Happy, Congradulations.....Keep them chops funky............serpico3
rlhubley
I'd sell the cymbals, and give away the sticks. Unless i am actually overly impressed with the cymbals, then, i would use the drums as much as possible. Sure, i don't really have room for them, and the lady might not be too happy with even more drums, but, we would work it out. I'm thinking, a full kit in every room, a cocktail kit in the kitchen, and maybe percussion in the bathroom.
