Sylver
Are there any good metal bars anywhere? I really don't know what to put here.
Mark Zeger
Khan picked the one I would have suggested. I don't listen to metal, but the Penny Arcade is a local institution. One of the city's most popular Italian restaurants, Mr. Dominic's, is a very short walk from the club. The Penny Arcade is just steps away from Charlotte (local pronounciation Shar-lot') Beach, on the Lake Ontario waterfront. Here is the website for our local entertaiment rag, where you may find others: http://www.freetimemag.com/ Send me a private message if you'd like any other tips. Enjoy your stay in The Flower City! Boggs
The Penny Arcade was the one that came to mind, along with The Bug Jar and, well, I don't know if they are still doing anything, but the California Brew House was pretty strong some years ago. I'd suggest you pick up a "Free Time" when you got here. You may find one at the airport or almost any drug store or supermarket. Have you been to Rochester before? Mark Zeger
I should mention that the best music-oriented tourist destination here is the House of Guitars. Bring your credit cards. :thu:
Kendrix
When ya coming? There may be a show worth seeing at either the Finger Lakes Performing arts center or at six flags Darien Lake. Both venues are less than 1 hour from downtown. I believe Web sites exist for both. I'd also mention Milestones as a local club to check out. Check out some tunes here: http://www.garageband.com/artist/KenFava
