nursers
For those who have the Rock N Roller R6 - do any of you use the shelf as a desktop at your gig? I currently have an X-stand with a shelf on top to sit my rack unit with my Radial KL-8, power conditioner and my laptop etc. Seems I could ditch that for the Rock N Roller with Shelf at the top.... I don't use it for gigs. I only use it when I do location Audio at a video shoot. I setup my field recorder, mixer and laptop (for log sheets) on it. It's a PITA to put on / off, so no way I want to use it on a Gig. 1 Quote Custom Music, Audio Post Production, Location Audio www.gmma.biz https://www.facebook.com/gmmamusic/

MRkeys
Original poster weighing in. Borrowed my son’s Home Depot Milwaukee cart. He used it when he was subcontracting with FedEx. Used it Friday night and worked pretty good! Doing a casino this weekend and see how it goes there. New gig. I like having my keyboard cases already on a “table” so I don’t have to work off the floor. 1 Quote Nord Electro 3... Korg CX3... Leslie 145... Wurlitzer 200a... Juno 106... Roland RD170... Keep us posted on how you like it! The only small concern I have, based on my own experience, is those small wheels might be stubborn on rough terrain or thresholds. I've had those issues with my R&R, though I've found that a bit of brute force to just push the thing firmly and quickly will help.
MRkeys
Eric, funny you just mentioned thresholds. Letting battery charge to finish cutting a wedge 2x3 for thresholds. Friday had about a 3” lip going into the building. Pushed the 10” wheels in with just a little speed. 3rd try. Little wheels were no problem, I just lifted a bit. I pulled instead of pushed on my house threshold and I think that works better, maybe? So far only complaint is it’s big and heavy and doesn’t collapse down. I think it’s a Home Depot exclusive for $229 1 Quote Nord Electro 3... Korg CX3... Leslie 145... Wurlitzer 200a... Juno 106... Roland RD170... Naming folders in the Zoom field recorder (it's cumbersome to do it in the recorder). I don't use it anymore though- I find that most shoots don't need a lot of different folders, so I just set them up at home before the shoot. 1 Quote Custom Music, Audio Post Production, Location Audio www.gmma.biz https://www.facebook.com/gmmamusic/
