Here's the translation. I will give credit for making the words rhyme in English as well, and still have them convey the asinine triteness of the French lyrics.

Asinine or cringey - take your choice! I actually find the French version cringier. It lost something in translation LOL. Below are the original lyrics that ChatGPT (Windows Copilot) vomited out. However, I will say there is one cool aspect - it built up a list of words that rhyme. So when I write my own lyrics, that info will be handy to have around. I hadn't considered rhyming "dessinent" and "devinent."

English lyrics are : A A B B

The conjugation of certain words is so off that the rhyming breaks down. As in the second couplet/verse. Why is the word “secret” being replaced with “fear”? This completely changes the feeling from intimacy to interrogation!      

 

 And in general yeah, the grammatical structure of the french lyrics is off putting. Not poetic or soft nor romantic intonations…
