With all the warnings that have been broadcast, people just don't believe them. Or think the cautions don't apply to them. They learned a lesson they cannot undo. Well, hopefully, they learned a lesson, some never learn. Philbo King
I was able to see the partial eclipse. I was on a gravel road returning from a trip to buy cannabis-infused water my spouse sent me after... By making a pinhole camera with my hand and watching the shadow of it. It was a little bit underwhelming but at least I saw it.
ProfD
OK. We are one week removed from the event. I don't want to know how many folks have signed up for the Hellen Keller introductory course. I'd like to know if anyone is suffering from PED (Post Eclipse Depression).🤣😎 Quote PD "The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return."--E. RABid
Let’s just be honest here. How many of us have hearing problems because we did not use earplugs every time we went on stage? Fortunately, I used hearing protection starting back in the 60s. It was just shoving cotton balls in my ears, and I had to "learn" the sound like you have to learn speakers, because the highs were so muffled. Later I graduated to "designer" earplugs, and now I use the 3DME from ASI Audio. I wish I could say I protected my hearing because I was so smart and prescient. But the reality is I have very sensitive ears. I used to go bonkers when I walked into stores with "ultrasonic" burglar alarms because the high-pitched whine was torture. So, I used hearing protection simply because my ears hurt if I didn't.
