jmemcse517
I bought a pair of the Laney AH-300 amplifiers. They are really loud and clear. They will be my stage monitors. They don't sound as clear as a QSC 12.2, but they have more body, more room filling presence. They can be ungodly loud and clear. I'm happy with them and wondered if anyone else has noticed this gem? D. Gauss
Yeah, i noticed them. My bad back also noticed that two of them are just shy of 100 lbs. Ouch! Hope you have a roadie to lift those black holes of endless mass.
jmemcse517
They go in road cases with casters, and get loaded and moved by crew.
Stefan011
I have Laney AH-150 for small gigs and rehearsals. Very flexible and loud. The sound is unpleasantly nasal to my ears but it must be great for stage monitoring.
jmemcse517
I agree, they don't sound as high fidelity as my pole mount speakers. But when I play next to a guy with a wall of Marshall's, my little 8's get swallowed up. I mean, sometimes I get a decent monitor mix, but not usually. I have to be able to hear myself. The house guy can make it sweet out front.
