I just did the re-tubing and replacing my newly acquired Super Champ X2 speaker and setting the  BIAS on the amp. It sounds waaaaaay better than the one I have been using for the past 4 years. I followed the Eurotubes guy's offers to use some newer versions of the JJ Tubes that I have in the older SCX2. I no longer need tube damper rings because they put some new ideas into the power and preamp tubes. Also the Hemp cone Lil Buddy sounds awesome even before it is broken in (so to speak) (Looks like I may need a new set of JJ's for the older amp which now sits in my shed and will go unused except practice time on the days my wife is home at guitar practice time).

Question for my friends on this forum in the BIAS setting. The instructions say to set the BIAS at more than 40 MV. I checked to setting and it is set at 52 MV so I left in like that. My older amp I set at 39.5 MV because I misread the instructions thinking I needed to set the older SCX2 at or near 40 MA

Don't lose 'em! You might need them for this or another device in the future- and speaking from experience, it's GREAT to have 'em when you need 'em!!  I have a few on several tubes in an old Carvin Vintage 33 amp that I've had a love/hate relationship with, and have gotten MANY additional years of hard use out of it with the tubes in it (the ones that I liked the sound of, but began to get microphonic) because of the Hal-O Tube Dampers I had.   💫💖

"The instructions say to set the BIAS at more than 40 MV"?  Try setting them at, say, 42mv and see if you like the way the amp sounds and feels that way; if you liked it better before that, set it back to 52mv.

best of luck and enjoy!

@Caevan O’Shite I still have the tube dampers on my other SCX2, also I have a question in to Eurotubes about the BIAS setting. The newly acquired amp to me is definitely a bit punchier than the older one. The newly acquired amp is actually 12 years old but relatively unused, the one I have been using for about 4 years is a 2020 model, the newly acquired amp was built in 2012, but was relatively not used at all.

I am however gonna get another set of JJ's for the 2020 model as well as a new Lil Buddy if the new tubes don't make that one punchier. I have both amps set in Fender Fuse to the exact same settings, so I am guessing the new tubes are different sounding because of the new improvements on the 6V6's and the one preamp tube a 12AX7 style Under Eurotubes name of 5157.

Please give me all info and detes on those 6V6's, thanks! I have two amp-heads that use duets of 6V5's, an Egnater Rebel 30 MkII (which simultaneously uses a duet of EL84's) and a 65 Amps Empire (which deploys a highly tricked-out circuit that makes 'em perform with the character of EL34's in '60s and '70s vintage Marshall amps).

Call Eurotubes, I did not get the details except they sounded good. (503) 659-7401 They are in Oregon.

A 5157 is interchangeable with a 12ax7 but typically has about 70% of the gain. Good way to tame the preamp and allow a higher master volume setting to get the output tube and transformer harmonic distortion that is a bit nicer to hear that just preamp tube distortion.

It took a chunk of my life to get here and I am still not sure where "here" is.

@Caevan O’Shite The 6v6's have an extra Double Mica plate on the bottom of the tubes the 5751 are lower gain for a cleaner sound. ( I just talked to Eurotubes and ordered another set. The BIAS is OK at 52MV
