RABid Posted May 29, 2023 Share Posted May 29, 2023 My dad quit high school his senior year to join the Navy during WW2. Signed up for submarine duty which took a year of training. After that year he became an electrician and the youngest sailer on his sub. Two years later he became head electrician of the sub, the youngest in the navy (they think). He would have been 20. I found a Wikipedia article about his sub.
