:o Envision??/ Yeah, I thought my sentence sounded a bit off using the word "vision"; but I had kids scrambling around in the background (big campfire and sleepover last night for the last time before school starts ;) ) and spaced it off.

It might be entertaining to watch a man walk across a catwalk strapped in nothing but a tool belt just to see if a man had enough GUTS to do something that bold....

I've heard of people streaking down ski slopes, and things like that, but Kansas City is pretty backwards when it comes to that sort of thing.

Of course, talk is cheap.... I remember going to a Male Burlesque with a friend several years ago and I got so embarrassed I walked outside of the club and sat chatting with the bouncer until the "ENTERTAINMENT" was over. When the chick I was with pulled the dancers' G-string out with her hand and put a dollar bill in the G-string with her teeth; it was just a little bit too much for me to handle. She was shameless...

It's fun to tease, but I'm certainly not into hedonism.

Don't deny it. You've aired your dirty little secret with 40,000 of your closest internet buddies. :D:D:D

I don't think that YOU work in the buff, but if indeed you were to do a show within commuting distance and you told me that you were going to be working overhead in the buff; I would be certain to come to the show and bring my camera. :D I would want to share the view with all of our 40,000 buddies.... who would probably be willing to bet you wouldn't do it.

You would have to promise NO GOLDEN SHOWERS though before I would dare step underneath you. :P:eek::wave:

Knowing you'd be photographing it would almost make the whole thing worth it...

NOT! :)

As for Golden Showers, a year or two before I began working local crew in Nashville, some loser was working for my crew on a Foreigner concert at the 'Wood outside Nashville. He was the downstage-center truss spot. During the show he had to take a leak and decided to pee in a chain bag for the motor closest to him.

Chain bags are made of canvas!

Apparently he dripped on someone in the band, below. They never knew what it was that was dripping from the truss. :D

Yeacch! :freak:

Anyway, I promised some wrench pics a while back.. Here are my favorites... at least that I could find.

A man that knows how to use his tools, knows how to call them by their name. :D

NOT!

Awe, come on now... I'll even pull out my wide angle lens if I need to. Of course, if you were a Wee Wus, I'd have to bring along the telephoto lens :D I have a 5x zoom lens to get a close up.

So the artist just thought that rank smell was his own perspiration :D:D:D

From that distance, I should hope you'd need a telephoto lens! I mean, c'mon... Some guys may refer to it as a "pole", but if it's big enough to require a wide angle lens from 50'!!! Good god, woman! How would someone like that get in a light truss?!?

As for the other thing, I was told it happened to Lou Graham. I think they just didn't know what was "leaking from the roof" and assumed it was rank water that came through. :D

None of this affects me at all.

If Bralala cared more about music than money, Bralala wouldn't trying to engage in legal battles with people in the music business.

When I was in my teens, my Dad ordered one of these out of the back of a magazine once. Neither of us expected much from it.

It turned out to be the best wrench I ever had.

Worked on anything....even stripped nuts. It just grabbed on and wouldn't let go.

Back when I raced BMX, I brought this wrench and a set of hex heads, and I was ready for anything.

Great little wrench. :thu:

:D Now that's more like it! :D

Actually, I have a few of those wrenches. I can't stand 'em. Not because they're bad wrenches, but because my applications don't allow the neccesary room to use 'em. (Such as lighting truss connections. And on lighting/sound gear, the adjustment is unstable for use on bolts that stick out far, such as those on pipe-clamps. Oh, and open end for stubborn, large wing-nuts.

But I keep 'em around for when they are useful! :thu:

I'd be lost without it.. A 3/8" torque wrench.

then there's this, a 24" chain pipe wrench,

Thanks, but I don't do much crew work anymore.

Funny thing, though. I'm house mixer for the live music room in a 5 story club/restaurant that recently opened in Nashville. Yesterday one of my old crew buddies played there with his band. Most of the audience were my crew buddies. :D I guess I should pass this along to them. Thanks, Chris. :thu:
