I had forgotten about Starcastle! Good stuff. I'm trying to remember if I auditioned for them at one point; I think I did (on bass, not keys), but it might have been for a band formed by someone who had been in Starcastle at one point.

Eugenio Upright, 60th Anniversary P-Bass, USA Geddy Lee J-Bass, Yamaha BBP35, D'angelico SS Bari, EXL1,

Select Strat, 70th Anniversary Esquire, LP 57, Eastman T486, T64, Ibanez PM2, Hammond XK4, Moog Voyager

Their bass player (who I believe passed away a few years ago) did a pretty good imitation of Chris Squier. Had the style and sound nailed.

TommyRude,

I'm jealous. Around these parts it's impossible to see the night sky without driving for an hour or more. My sons think the Milky Way is a theoretical abstraction. I haven't seen it in years, myself, excepting an occasional camping trip. Even on good nights, the sky is never truly black.

A song may be as close as some people ever come to seeing a dark sky.

I'm not interested in someone's ability to program. I'm interested in their ability to compose and play.

Dohhhhh. Just checked and turns out the timing isn't perfect, it will be a half-moon when we're there. Best timing is the new moon.  But now I want to go visit one of these parks or sanctuaries during a new moon to take it all in.  Gotta get the playlist to watch the stars by... Floyd, Yes, some soundtracks - 2001, Close Encounters, maybe some Wagner?

Some music I've recorded and played over the years with a few different bands
