D. Gauss
<<Working with drone speaker developer Masaaki Matsuba, the team is grappling with several issues. As of now, the drones’ propellers are still somewhat noisy. >> ya think? like playing piano next to 4 leaf blowers...

Old No7
Could one play "Against The Wind" on this, or would the drones have an issue??? Asking for a friend.............. Mighty Motif Max
Motion Sound should make this... All kidding aside, it's a neat idea from an acoustics standpoint. Moving surround sound - I like it. I wonder about the battery life on those drones though. Mark Schmieder
OMG. Roland have come out with a "concept piano" that uses flying drones as speakers! The idea is that it will immerse you in 360 degree sound. Or will it just make you dizzy, and drive your pets koo-koo? Not surprised someone beat me to the post, but I'm leaving my own comment as originally written, as it reads better that way. It is especially ironic that they brag about it containing all of Roland's digital piano sounds of yesterday. Something tells me the target audience isn't gigging musicians or even recording artists. 🙂 Quote Eugenio Upright, 60th Anniversary P-Bass, USA Geddy Lee J-Bass, Yamaha BBP35, D'angelico SS Bari, EXL1, Select Strat, 70th Anniversary Esquire, LP 57, Eastman T486, T64, Ibanez PM2, Hammond XK4, Moog Voyager
RABid
Well, it is a concept piano not intended for production. I can do without the drones. The piano has plenty of speakers built in. It is a beautiful piece of art. Quote This post edited for speling. My Sweetwater Gear Exchange Page
