Motion Sound should make this...

 

All kidding aside, it's a neat idea from an acoustics standpoint. Moving surround sound - I like it. I wonder about the battery life on those drones though.

OMG. Roland have come out with a "concept piano" that uses flying drones as speakers! The idea is that it will immerse you in 360 degree sound. Or will it just make you dizzy, and drive your pets koo-koo?

 

Not surprised someone beat me to the post, but I'm leaving my own comment as originally written, as it reads better that way. It is especially ironic that they brag about it containing all of Roland's digital piano sounds of yesterday. Something tells me the target audience isn't gigging musicians or even recording artists. 🙂
