Anderton
I still miss the Amiga. I thought it had a brighter future for music and video people than the Mac or PC. Al Coda
I regret I sold my SX64 for peanuts long time ago and still have original boxed lightpen and Sequential Circuits Industries Model64 sequencer/interface I used w/ the Prophet-5 and EMU Drumulator. From 1984 ´til I jumped on Atari, It was the 1st computer I toured with, the machine running bankloader applications for Prophet-5, DX7 and TX816. That was a big help while tinkering w/ the OB-8´s cassette interface still. A.C.
RABid
I learned to program on the Commodore line and had the full range. Vic 20, 64, Amiga 500, Amiga 2000. Two friends and I decided to open an Amiga store in Lexington KY. A small city but big enough to sustain. We did a business plan, projections, secured finances, etc... When we contacted Commodore we hit a wall. Their demands for initial units and monthly units were so high that we would have to be in a city the size of New York to sell enough stock. We walked away thinking "if this is how they run their business and treat their merchants they will not last very long." Quote This post edited for speling. I would like to say that I will sell many units and make mucho $ ,but the guys that show up for retro stuff are mostly GAMERS Craig, you might be entertained watching me demo. I do a better with YouTube demos at home where I can EDIT my demos. Quote TEACHMEDRUMS.COM My Music Videos RED PILL

ElmerJFudd
Wow, Commodore and Amiga bring back some memories for me. My first serious midi setup at home was an Amiga 500, Master Trax Pro and Passport midi interface. I synced it to tape with smpte. Anderton
I must admit, it's weird to see you at a show where you're not participating in a World's Fastest Drummer competition 1 Quote Craig Anderton Educational site: http://www.craiganderton.org Music: http://www.youtube.com/thecraiganderton Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/craig_anderton
Notes_Norton
I had a TI99/4A instead of a commodore. I followed that with an Atari ST. The built-in MIDI ports sold me. Never got an Amiga, I went "IBM Compatible" and Mac, but I remember reading some very good things about the Amiga. I started writing and selling aftermarket styles for Band-in-a-Box and that forced me to the "IBM Compatible" (PC) with DOS 5. I hated DOS. I am "Typoman, writing all wrongs." So I completely missed the Commodore experience. zukskywalker
Incredible! I also still have my SX64. I remember commodore and sequential circuits predating midi and using the joystick ports to interface keyboard note data. (and operating in a 32K environment !) ( did anyone out here ever come across the legendary dual drive DX64?) btw it is said that the lowly AMIGA totally revolutionized video editing and video graphics forever. and then there’s SID. techristian
So I was lucky enough to squeeze In a second demo using my Windows Laptop running the C64 VICE emulator and people were actually able to see the HDMI output on a big screen and ZOOM at the same time and hear the sounds first hand direct. I did that around 11:30 est am today (Sunday) Thanks again Craig for the bit of extra exposure!
