agitato
I purchased a DXR10 last January after a 2 year search/reading/watching reviews, etc., that I run my 3 keyboards through and am happy with. In April they were discontinued/upgraded to the DXR MKII series. Has any DXR owners/users tried and ultimately upgraded to the new MKIIs? Do any dxr users think that upgrading would be worth it at all? They are slightly lighter and the HF horn/driver has been redesigned. dazzjazz
Yes. I"ve A/B"d the Mk1 and Mk2 and the Mk2 sounds a lot more Hifi. My current organ rig is one of each in stacked configuration. Sounds great. IIRC the Mk2 DXR10 is a little heavier, but no noticeably. Quote www.dazzjazz.com PhD in Jazz Organ Improvisation. The 8.2 gets a lot of credit on this forum for doing piano well. And they cost the same, so comparisons are inevitable. The QSC 8.2 and the Yamaha DXR8 Mk2 both have better mixers on the back and are better capable of of being FOH speakers than the EV ZXA-1, so the extra cost is worth it. cphollis
I don't think you can go wrong with either the MkII or the K.2. Quote Want to make your band better? Check out "A Guide To Starting (Or Improving!) Your Own Local Band"
