Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair

Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't very Fuzzy, Wuzzy?

We found his fuzz, minus the bear foot buttons...

Somebody left that in a pool of Tidy Bowl!!!!!

The 'vintage' fOXX Tone Machine pedals were covered in fuzzy "flocking" in various colors, as have been some reissues and pedals based on them. (Apologies if you were already aware of that.)

I had one, I knows all about everything!!!

Had a Fuzz Face and even a Bazz Box, plus a Big Muff and a RAT. And stuff. I hate fuzz because I used it!!! 😇

It took a chunk of my life to get here and I am still not sure where "here" is.

Haahh!

I used to turn my nose up at it, when I was a kid and thought I wanted an early '80s, very 'Turbo-Distortion' kinda sorta sound (not realizing that a fuzz or treble booster of one kind or another could actually help me in that endeavor). I also didn't understand how to use fuzz, how to do so in different ways... I'm NOT saying that's the case for YOU, just that it was for me.

I think that going 100% fingerstyle was the beginning of the path that led me to turn back to fuzz, and eventually to love it; that, and my using the guitars volume-knobs so much, particularly with dynamic tube-amp overdrive and distortion. Finding what so many had always known from the beginning of fuzz, that fuzz could dovetail so into those approaches, sealed the deal and now I'm ruined.

Well, too bad for you!!! 🤣

From the beginning, I've always played acoustic guitar and over time I've learned how to get a variety of tones out of one, including finger style playing (which I do weirdly since I am left handed and play right handed). I love a good overdrive tone on electric guitar, reverb and sometimes delay. Rotary speaker sounds can be nice, especially with a bit of grit - be the "Hammond" player for a bit. All that and everything else (including fuzz) is just sitting inside my Peavey Vypyr VIP 1. I have both Sanpera pedals but hardly use them. I do like having volume and wah at my feet so then I use the Sanpera 1.

I'm certainly no "purist", rather the opposite. I am more likely to use fuzz because I hate it than I would be to use it because I like it. Hopefully that makes no sense whatsoever.
