Steve,

does Hammersmith's lack of half pedaling and re-pedaling bother you?

 

Nothing is perfect, (including many of the actual acoustic pianos I come across in studios). When I do use Hammersmith, it is because it's sound and tonality are best for expressing the emotion of the song in front of me. I care more about the sound than whether I have to work around some idiosyncrocy. At the end of the day, I'm still quite grateful to have reasonably viable choices in my line of work.
